EDD Error 324 - Can't complete disability application online. What to bring to office?
I had a bad accident recently and now I can't work. I tried to apply for disability online but got error 324 which stopped me from finishing. The system told me to contact an EDD specialist, but I've called so many times and can't get through. I'm a photographer and really need this resolved. What should I bring to the EDD office when I go? Any advice on how to get this sorted out?

When you go to the EDD office, make sure to bring: • Valid photo ID (driver's license or passport) • Proof of address (like a utility bill) • Any letters or emails you've gotten from EDD • If you're divorced, bring your divorce decree for account verification Hope this helps! Good luck getting it sorted out.

•Thanks so much! This is really helpful. Do you know if I need to bring any medical documents about my accident?

•You're welcome! It's a good idea to bring any medical docs you have, especially ones that show you can't work right now. Better to have too much info than not enough!

Have you tried calling right when they open? I heard that's the best time to get through.

•I've had better luck calling late in the day, like 30 mins before they close. Sometimes the queue is shorter then.

Hey, I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site called claimyr.com - it's a calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, and then sends the call to your phone when a live agent picks up. It costs $20, but it worked for me. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•I was skeptical too, but I can confirm it's real. Saved me hours of frustration.

•How long did you have to wait before they connected you?

•It took about 2 hours, but I didn't have to sit there listening to hold music. They just called me when an agent was ready.

error 324 is the WORST. have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? sometimes that helps with weird glitches on the edd site

As a fellow creative, I totally get how stressful this is. The gig economy and disability benefits don't always play nice together. Hang in there! 💪

•Thanks for the support! Yeah, it's tough when your income is so variable.

Pro tip: if you can't get thru on the phone, try contacting your local state representative's office. They often have direct lines to EDD and can help push things along.

•Just google '[your city] state representative' and it should come up. Most have contact forms on their websites.

idk if this helps, but I had a similar issue and ended up faxing my application. Old school, I know, but it worked when the online system kept glitching out on me.
