Thanks for the advice! I'm feeling a bit better about it now. Do you think I should mention that I have other interviews, or just keep it vague?
Plot twist: what if the EDD is actually run by a bunch of hamsters on wheels and that's why everything takes so long? 🐹💨
guys. i've been dealing with this for MONTHS. like since last year. its a total clown show 🤡 I've called hundreds of times, sent emails, even wrote a letter. nada. zilch. zero. I'm bout ready to give up tbh
I've been on unemployment for 6 months now and tbh I'm kinda worried about what happens when it runs out. Anyone else feeling anxious about the future?
In response to the issue of pending unemployment funds, it's important to take a multifaceted approach to resolve the situation. First and foremost, ensure that all of your documentation is current and accurately uploaded to the EDD system, as discrepancies often cause delays. Additionally, regularly checking your EDD inbox for any messages is vital, as they may require further action on your part. Regarding Claimyr, it can be a helpful tool for those struggling to get through to EDD representatives, offering convenience and potentially saving time. However, it's critical to consider the cost and evaluate whether the service aligns with your financial situation. Reaching out to your local assembly member for assistance can also quicken the process, as they are often equipped to handle such matters efficiently. Lastly, maintaining your mental well-being is of utmost importance during these stressful times. Practice self-care, and reach out for community support when needed. Remember that persistence pays off, and staying proactive will increase your chances of resolving the pending status of your unemployment benefits. Good luck!

Hey OP, just a heads up - when you do get through, make sure you have all your docs ready. They'll probably ask for proof of your new address and maybe some ID verification stuff. Better to have it all on hand so you don't have to call back.

This might sound crazy, but has anyone tried faxing EDD? I remember reading somewhere that they still accept faxes and it might be faster than calling.

•I actually tried this! Sent a fax and got a response in about a week. Not super fast, but faster than trying to call.

•That's interesting! Maybe it's worth a try if calling isn't working.
