If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

btw when u finally get ur hearing date make sure u answer when they call!!! my cousin missed his call cuz he didn't recognize the number and they ruled against him automatically!!! they usually call from a sacramento area code (916

Omg thank you for the heads up! I'll make sure to answer ANY call around that time. That would be devastating to wait all this time and then miss the call.

One more thing regarding the actual hearing - make sure you request a copy of your EDD file before the hearing. You have a right to see all the evidence they're using against you. You can do this by calling the Appeals Board and specifically requesting your case file. This way you'll know exactly what they're claiming about your unreported income and can prepare accordingly.

THIS!!!! 100% THIS!!! They had COMPLETELY INCORRECT information in my file and if I hadn't gotten a copy beforehand I would have been BLINDSIDED!!! Always get your case file!!!!

wiat i think everyone is making this WAY more complicated than it is lol... they probably just need your paystubs to verify your income. thats it. they do this all the time. upload em and wait. bam problem solved

I hope it's that simple! I'm going to upload everything tonight and hopefully that resolves it. Thanks for the reassurance.

Quick update on timing expectations: With these verification requests, EDD typically takes 7-10 business days to review the documents you submit. However, during high volume periods, it can take up to 3 weeks. You can check your UI Online account daily for status changes, as they don't always send notifications when they make decisions. Make sure your paystubs clearly show your name, employer name/info, pay period dates, hours worked, and earnings. If your paystubs are from an online portal, that's perfectly fine as long as they contain all that information. Screenshots are acceptable if they're clearly legible. If you worked for multiple employers during that period, yes, submit paystubs from ALL of them. Missing documentation from even one employer could delay your claim further.

Thank you so much for this detailed information! I have paystubs from both employers, so I'll make sure to submit everything. Really appreciate everyone's help - I feel much more confident about handling this now.

what about legal aid? i think they help with edd stuff for free if ur low income

0 coins

I hadn't considered that. We definitely qualify as low income at this point. I'll search for legal aid services in our area today. Thanks for the suggestion!

Make sure to file your second appeal WITHIN 30 DAYS of receiving the first appeal decision! This deadline is super strict and they won't make exceptions. Send it certified mail so you have proof of when you submitted it.

0 coins

Yes! We got the decision letter 3 days ago, so we have 27 days left. Planning to submit the second appeal by the end of this week after collecting all the additional documentation everyone has suggested. Great tip about using certified mail!

Did anyone else notice that the resume services at these centers got way better since 2025 started? I went last year and it was basic help, but I went again in January and they had this whole AI-optimization thing going on now. The counselor actually showed me how the ATS systems work and what they scan for. Seems like EDD finally realized this was a major problem for job seekers.

0 coins

That's really encouraging! I didn't realize they had updated their services. Makes me even more motivated to check them out this week.

Quick update since there's been some good discussion here - most AJCCs now offer: 1. Resume review and ATS optimization 2. Cover letter assistance 3. Mock interviews (sometimes virtual) 4. Workshops on LinkedIn profiles 5. Access to job fairs and hiring events Also, many centers have evening hours once or twice a week (typically until 7pm) to accommodate working job-seekers. Always check their websites or call for the most current schedules.

This is super helpful! I'm going to plan a visit next week. Thank you everyone for all the great information - definitely feeling more hopeful about my job search now!

I just remembered something! When I got laid off from my serving job last year, I had another part-time gig too. The EDD person told me that if my hours get reduced by 20% or more it counts as a significant change! Your hours went from 25 to 20 which is exactly 20% less! Maybe that's why someone above mentioned a new "qualifying event"?

0 coins

That's not completely right. The 20% thing is for Partial UI when you're still working but at reduced hours compared to normal. OP is already on partial UI. What matters is if they have enough wages in their base period quarters to qualify for a new claim, not the percentage reduction from an already reduced schedule.

Update: I finally got through to EDD this morning! The representative confirmed what many of you said - there are no automatic extensions currently available. However, she reviewed my case and said that because my hours were reduced again last month, I might qualify for a recalculation of my benefits. She's transferring my case to a specialist who will call me back within 7-10 business days. Fingers crossed this works out! Thanks everyone for all your advice and help.

how did u even get through?? ive been calling for days

0 coins

I called right when they opened at 8:00 am and used the trick where you press 1-2-4 as soon as the automated system picks up. Still took about 6 attempts, but I finally got in the queue instead of getting disconnected.
