If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

just wondering but how do u know for SURE it was him who told his friends? maybe they just guessed you were on unemployment or someone else told them? not defending the guy just saying u need solid proof before accusing an edd worker

Fair question. The timing is suspicious - I had a disagreement with him, and then suddenly his friends (who I've never interacted with) started making these comments. One specifically referenced the exact month I filed my claim, which isn't something they could have guessed. But you're right, I need to be careful about direct accusations without absolute proof.

UPDATE US on what happens! This is really important for everyone to know about. State employees accessing confidential data for personal use is a huge problem across many agencies. Your complaint could help strengthen protections for all of us.

I definitely will! I've already emailed the Privacy Office and Security Office today. I'm calling the Civil Rights Office tomorrow. I'll post updates as I get responses. Thanks everyone for all your helpful suggestions!

My sister works for EDD (not saying this to brag just giving context lol) and she says one of the biggest mistakes people make is thinking they can't work part-time while on unemployment. The system is actually designed to encourage you to take part-time work while searching for full-time jobs! You just need to be honest about your earnings. \n\nShe also mentioned that tour guide work specifically wouldn't typically cause availability issues since it's outside normal business hours when most interviews and job opportunities would occur anyway.\n\nAnyway, take the tour guide job! Some income is better than none, and it won't harm your unemployment as long as you report accurately.

Thank you - that's really reassuring to hear from someone with insider knowledge! I'll definitely take the tour guide position and make sure I report everything accurately. I appreciate everyone's help - feeling much less anxious about this decision now.

Since you're waiting for your card, one tip I wish someone had told me - as soon as you get it, create your Money Network account online right away. Then you can at least track when deposits hit the card. You can also set up automatic transfers to your bank account so you don't have to manually transfer each time.

That's great advice, thank you! Looking forward to getting this all sorted out. Seems like the first payment is the hardest part and then things should go more smoothly.

Wait you should have recieved an email when you filed your claim. Check your spam folder maybe? Thats where mine went. It should tell you when to certify and how long things take. Not getting ANY communication seems weird, you might want to try calling them to check if they have the right contact info for you.

Just checked all my folders including spam and trash - absolutely nothing from EDD. I'm starting to wonder if they have the wrong email address or something?? But then how did my claim get approved at all? This is so frustrating!

Based on everything you've shared, it sounds like there might be an issue with your contact information. Here's what I recommend: 1. Call EDD as soon as possible to verify they have your correct mailing address and email 2. Ask specifically about the status of your Customer Account Number letter 3. Confirm when your first certification period will be available 4. Ask if they can expedite your Money Network card if it hasn't been sent yet Your claim is approved, which is the good news, but you need to make sure all your information is correct so you can get your documents and start certifying.

You're right, I need to just talk to someone directly. I've been trying to call but can't get through - might try that Claimyr thing someone mentioned. Thanks for all your help!

Just to update on the work search requirements discussion - the correct requirement is still 2 work search activities per week for most claimants in 2025, not 3 as someone mentioned. Your son should: 1. Keep a detailed record of all work search activities 2. Include employer names, contact information, positions applied for 3. Save copies of all job applications submitted EDD randomly selects claimants for work search verification, so having good documentation is important. The system works smoothly for temporary/on-call situations like your son's as long as everything is reported accurately.

oh good i was worried! thx for clearing that up. keeping track of the job search stuff is such a pain i wish they made it easier

Thanks everyone for the helpful advice! My son reopened his claim yesterday through UI Online. The process was pretty straightforward - he selected "lack of work" as the reason his temporary position ended. The system showed his weekly benefit amount is the same as before. Now we're just waiting for the claim to be processed. I really appreciate all the guidance!
