PFL system down - tips for following up on claim?
Hey everyone, I'm trying to follow up on my paid family leave claim but the system was down yesterday. Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips on how to get through or what to do next?

Ugh, their system is always having issues! I swear it's down more often than it's up. Have you tried calling them directly?

I haven't tried calling yet. Honestly, I'm dreading the hold times. 😩

Good luck with that! Last time I called, I was on hold for 3 hours before I gave up. 🤦♂️

Yeah, calling is a nightmare. Maybe try early in the morning? I've heard that sometimes works better.

I found a way to get someone on the phone without the crazy wait times. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

I was skeptical at first too, but it really worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

Trust me, after you've been on hold for 4 hours, $20 seems like a bargain lol

Have you tried checking their social media accounts? Sometimes they post updates about system outages there.

I feel your pain, OP. The whole system is a joke. I've been trying to sort out my claim for weeks now. It's like they don't want us to get our benefits. 🤬

Preach! 🙌 The bureaucracy is insane. We need some serious reform.

Here's what I've learned from dealing with PFL claims: 1. Keep detailed records of all your attempts to contact them. 2. Try using their online portal during off-peak hours (like early morning or late evening). 3. If you must call, be prepared with all your info and have a clear list of questions. 4. Consider reaching out to your local representative if you're getting nowhere. 5. Join Facebook groups or forums dedicated to PFL issues - sometimes you can get insider tips. Hang in there, OP. It's a frustrating process, but persistence usually pays off.

For real! My grandma could design a better system, and she still uses a flip phone 😂

Pro tip: if you can't get through on the main line, try calling one of their other departments and ask to be transferred. Sometimes works like a charm!
