PFL claim paid for 6 days instead of 14, wrong end date. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with my PFL claim. I filed for 14 days but only got paid for 6. The claim was supposed to end on 2/16, but it ended on 2/6 instead. My original application clearly showed the correct end date. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on how to get this fixed?

Ugh, that sucks! I had a similar issue last year. Have you tried calling them? It's a pain, but sometimes that's the only way to get things sorted out.

•I've been trying to call all morning, but I keep getting stuck on hold forever. It's so frustrating!

•Pro tip: call right when they open. You might have better luck getting through.

This happened to me too! Here's what I did to fix it: 1. Double-check all your paperwork to make sure there are no errors on your end. 2. Write a detailed letter explaining the discrepancy, including dates and any supporting documents. 3. Fax or mail the letter to the PFL office (I know, so old school 🙄) 4. Keep calling until you get through to a human. 5. If all else fails, contact your local state representative's office. They can sometimes help push things through. Good luck! The system is such a mess, but don't give up!

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds sketchy. Is this legit?

•Yeah, it's totally legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of hold time. Worth every penny imo

Have you checked if there were any holidays during your claim period? Sometimes they mess up the calculations if there's a holiday involved.

This is why I'm scared to even apply for PFL. The system seems so broken. Anyone have any positive experiences to share?

•It's hit or miss. My first claim was a nightmare, but the second one went through without a hitch. 🤷♂️
