PFL Payment Delay: Submitted in August, No September Payment Yet. What's Going On?
Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my PFL payments. I submitted my claim online last month and got a reference number, but I haven't received any payments for September yet. Has anyone else experienced delays with their PFL payments recently? I'm getting a bit worried and wondering if I should call them to check on the status.

Ugh, I'm in the same boat! š£āāļø Submitted my claim back in August and still crickets. It's so frustrating when you're counting on that money to come through. Have you tried calling them yet?

Not yet, but I'm thinking I might have to. Just dreading the long wait times on the phone. š©

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through in like 15 minutes last week!

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

Yep, totally legit! I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of hold time. Worth every penny imo.

20 bucks tho? š¬ That's steep when you're already waiting on benefits...

I get it, but for me, it was worth it to finally get answers. Time is money, ya know? š¤·āāļø

Here's what I've learned from dealing with PFL delays: ā¢ Double-check that all your paperwork is complete. Missing info can cause major holdups. ā¢ If you have your claim number, you can sometimes get updates through their online portal. ā¢ Be persistent! Sometimes you have to call multiple times to get someone who can actually help. ā¢ Keep an eye on your mail. They might send requests for additional info that can delay your claim if you miss them. ā¢ Document everything - dates you submitted forms, called, etc. It helps if you need to escalate your case. Hope this helps! Hang in there, OP. The system can be a real pain, but you'll get your money eventually. šŖ

6 weeks?! That's insane. Have you tried reaching out to your local rep? Sometimes they can light a fire under EDD's a**

Has anyone else noticed that payments seem to be slower at the end of the quarter? I wonder if they're dealing with some kind of internal accounting stuff that slows everything down. š¤
