PFL claim submitted a month ago, still no payment. What to do?
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. I submitted my PFL claim about a month ago and still haven't received any payment. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm starting to get worried and could really use some advice on what to do next. It's been radio silence from their end and I'm not sure if this is normal or if something went wrong with my claim.

Ugh, I feel your pain! I went through something similar last year. It took them almost 6 weeks to process my claim and get the first payment. The system is so backed up, its ridiculous. Have you tried calling them? That might help speed things up.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I've been trying to call but can never get through. It's so frustrating! Did you do anything special to finally get in touch with them?

Honestly, it was a nightmare. I had to keep calling over and over, sometimes for hours. But I did find out that calling early in the morning, like right when they open, seemed to work better. Good luck!

Pro tip: use an auto-dialer app. It'll keep redialing for you so you don't have to do it manually. Saved my sanity when I was dealing with this mess! š

I actually found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Wow, that sounds too good to be true. Have you actually tried it yourself? Is it legit?

Yep, I've used it twice now. It's legit. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imho.

I get the skepticism, but when you're desperate and can't afford to sit on hold all day, it's a lifesaver. Plus, time is money, right? š¤·āāļø

Listen up, because I've been through this rodeo before. Here's what you need to do: ā¢ First, double-check that you submitted all required documents. Sometimes they don't tell you if something's missing. ā¢ Next, try to contact them through their online portal if they have one. Leave a message asking for a status update. ā¢ If that doesn't work, start calling. Be persistent. Use the trick someone mentioned about calling right when they open. ā¢ If you still can't get through, consider reaching out to your local state representative's office. They can sometimes help push things along. ā¢ Keep a log of all your attempts to contact them. This can be useful if you need to file a complaint later. ā¢ Lastly, check if there are any local legal aid organizations that can assist with PFL claims. They might be able to give you more specific advice. Remember, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Don't give up! šŖ

Am I the only one who thinks its absolutely insane that we have to jump through all these hoops just to get what we're entitled to? The system is broken af š¤

Preach! š It's like they make it difficult on purpose to discourage people from claiming.

Ikr? And then they wonder why people get so frustrated and angry. It's a joke.

Hey OP, just wondering - did you receive any kind of confirmation when you submitted your claim? Might be worth checking your spam folder too, sometimes important emails end up there.

I had a similar issue last year. Turns out there was a glitch in their system and my claim got stuck in limbo. Had to file a formal complaint to get it sorted. Might be worth looking into if you don't hear back soon.

Oh no, that sounds awful. How long did it take to resolve after you filed the complaint?

It took about 2 weeks after I filed the complaint. Not great, but better than waiting forever with no response!

š¤£š¤£š¤£ Ain't that the truth! Sometimes I think they're just throwing darts at a calendar to decide when to process claims.

Has anyone tried contacting them through social media? I've heard some people have had luck getting responses that way.

I tried that once. Got a generic response telling me to call the same number I couldn't get through on š YMMV tho

Guys, I think I figured out the secret. You gotta sacrifice a goat under a full moon while chanting the state anthem backwards. Works every time! 60% of the time... š

Pfft, amateur. Everyone knows you need to use a chicken, not a goat. No wonder the system's so messed up with people like you giving bad advice! š
