PFL Claim Stuck in 'Pending Processing' - Need Help Removing Second Claim
Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my Paid Family Leave claim. I submitted it a couple weeks ago with all the correct documents, but it's just been sitting in 'Pending Processing' ever since. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm getting worried because I really need this to go through. Also, I accidentally submitted a second claim after the first one - is there a way to get that removed? Any advice would be appreciated!

Ugh, I feel your pain! I went through something similar last year. It's so frustrating when you need the money and they just leave you hanging. Have you tried calling them? Sometimes that can help speed things up.

•I've been trying to call but can never get through. It's like their phone lines are always busy or something. 😫

•Pro tip: call right when they open. Like, set an alarm and everything. Sometimes you can get through if youre one of the first callers of the day.

•Or try calling at weird times, like 11:45 AM or 3:30 PM. Sometimes theres less traffic then

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site called claimyr.com - it's a calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, and then sends the call to your phone when a live agent picks up. It costs $20, but it worked for me. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•20 bucks tho? Seems steep for a phone call 🤔

•Yeah, it's not cheap, but considering how much time and stress it saved me, it was worth it. Plus, if you're waiting on a claim, that $20 could help you get your money faster.

About that second claim - you should definitely try to get that removed ASAP. Having multiple claims can really mess things up and delay the whole process. When you finally get through to someone, make sure to mention that right away!

The whole system is broken af 🤡 I've been dealing with this nonsense for months. They need to hire more people or update their tech or SOMETHING because this is ridiculous

Here's what I've learned from my experience with PFL claims: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your calls, emails, and submitted documents. 2. Be persistent. Call regularly (at least once a week) for updates. 3. Use their online portal if available. Sometimes you can see more detailed status info there. 4. If possible, get your employer involved. They can sometimes expedite things. 5. Consider reaching out to your local state representative. They often have contacts in these departments. 6. For the second claim, explain it was submitted in error and ask for it to be cancelled. 7. If all else fails, file a formal complaint. This can sometimes get things moving. Hang in there! It's a frustrating process, but keep at it. You'll get through eventually.

I heard they just updated their system last month. Maybe that's causing delays? Anyone else notice longer processing times recently?

•Oh snap, that could explain it! I've definitely noticed things moving slower lately. Classic government IT fail 🙄
