ID.me keeps sending verification to old phone number - can't access EDD account for pregnancy leave

DON'T create a new account!!! That will 100% cause problems with your claim and you'll end up with a HUGE headache trying to sort it out. I did that last yr when i couldn't get into my account and it took MONTHS to fix the duplicate accounts. The EDD system flagged it as potential fraud and froze EVERYTHING.

The ID.me recovery process is NIGHTMARISHLY slow right now!!! I submitted my documents 3 weeks ago and still nothing. I'm not pregnant but needed access for regular UI and gave up waiting. The system is completely BROKEN and they don't care that people are desperate. Not to discourage you but just setting realistic expectations.

cant u just call edd customer service? thats what i did when i forgot my password. took forever to get thru but they reset evrything for me

Update: After trying for 2 days with ID.me support with no luck, I used the Claimyr service that someone suggested. Got connected to an EDD rep in about 20 minutes. The rep verified my identity another way and helped me file my pregnancy disability claim over the phone! So relieved. Now I can focus on my health instead of this technical nightmare.
