How long for FL package confirmation? EDD radio silence

Hey everyone, I submitted my family leave package and I'm wondering if anyone knows how long it usually takes to hear back? I just want to make sure they received it and that everything is good to go. Anyone have experience with this?

Ravi Sharma

I went through this last year. It can take anywhere from 1-3 weeks for them to process and confirm receipt. Best thing to do is call and check on the status. Good luck!

Thanks for the info! Did you have any issues when you called? I've heard the wait times can be brutal.

Oh man, the wait times were insane. I was on hold for like 2 hours once. But keep trying, sometimes you get lucky and get through quickly.

Pro tip: call right when they open. You'll have a better chance of getting through quickly.

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. Submitted mine 2 weeks ago and still crickets. This whole process is so frustrating!

2 weeks?! That's crazy. Have you tried calling them?

Yeah, but I keep getting the 'all our lines are busy' message. It's like they don't want us to reach them šŸ™„

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's the link: https://claimyr.com

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

I was skeptical at first too, but it actually worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

20 bucks tho? That's kinda steep just to talk to someone...

I get it, but for me, it was worth not having to sit on hold all day. Time is money, ya know?

Here's what I've learned from my experience with family leave packages: ā€¢ Always keep a copy of everything you submit ā€¢ Follow up via phone within a week to confirm receipt ā€¢ Be prepared to resend documents if they claim they didn't receive them (happens more often than you'd think) ā€¢ Keep a log of all your calls, including date, time, and who you spoke with ā€¢ If possible, submit everything online and get a confirmation number Stay persistent and don't be afraid to escalate if you're not getting answers. The squeaky wheel gets the grease!

Totally agree. We need to push for reform. This is unacceptable in 2023.

Quick question - did you submit online or by mail? I've heard online is faster but idk if that's true.

I submitted online. Seemed easier, but now I'm wondering if that was the right choice...

Online is def the way to go. At least you get a confirmation number right away.

LPT: If you cant get through on the main line, try calling your local office directly. Sometimes they can help or at least give you more info.

Anyone else notice that the website is always "under maintenance" when you need it most? šŸ¤” Coincidence? I think not!
