Applied for family paid leave 5 days ago - how long until I hear back about status/benefits?

Hey everyone, I applied for family paid leave a few days ago and I'm getting anxious about the status. Has anyone here gone through this process recently? How long did it take to hear back? I'm worried about when I'll actually receive the benefits. Any tips on checking the status or speeding things up would be really appreciated!

I went through this last year. It took about 2 weeks for me to hear back, but I know it can vary. Have you tried checking online? Sometimes the website updates before they contact you directly.

Thanks for the info! I've been checking online obsessively but no updates yet. Guess I'll just have to be patient 😅

Ugh, the waiting game is the worst. I remember being in the same boat. My advice? Call them! Sometimes you can get more info that way.

I've been trying to call but it's impossible to get through. Always busy or disconnected 😫

Pro tip: I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

I was skeptical at first too, but it really worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

20 bucks tho? That's kinda steep...

I get it, but for me it was worth it to finally get some answers. Time is money, ya know?

Here's what I've learned from my experience and research about family paid leave: • Processing time can vary widely, from 1-6 weeks • Make sure ALL your paperwork is complete and accurate • If possible, submit everything online - it's usually faster • Keep copies of everything you submit • Check your spam folder regularly for updates • If you haven't heard back after 3 weeks, definitely try to contact them • Sometimes, reaching out to your local representative can help speed things up Hope this helps! Hang in there, the process can be frustrating but you'll get through it.

Quick question - did you get a confirmation email when you applied? I submitted mine last week and haven't received anything...
