EDD claim submitted a month ago, no payment & system says no open claim. Help!
I sent in my claim details over a month ago and still haven't been paid. When I try to check the status using the automated system, it says I don't have any open claims. Has anyone else experienced this? What should I do next? I'm getting really worried about my finances.

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. It's so frustrating! I've been waiting for almost 2 months now. The system is totally broken 😡

2 months? Amateur hour. Try 4 months and counting 🙃

Have you tried calling them directly? Sometimes the online system glitches and doesn't show accurate info.

I've tried calling but can never get through. It's always busy or I'm on hold forever 😩

Pro tip: call right when they open. Like, set an alarm and everything. Sometimes you can get through faster.

I found a method to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds sketchy. Is this legit?

Yeah, it's totally legit. I was skeptical too, but I was desperate. It worked like a charm.

20 bucks tho? That's steep when you're already broke af ðŸ˜

I get it, but for me it was worth it to finally get some answers. Beats wasting hours on hold.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact them, including dates and times. 2. Try reaching out via email or their online portal if they have one. Sometimes written communication gets a faster response. 3. Contact your local state representative or senator's office. They often have liaisons who can help with unemployment issues. 4. Check if there are any local legal aid organizations that assist with unemployment claims. They might be able to advocate for you. 5. Keep filing your weekly claims even if you haven't been approved yet. This ensures you don't miss out on any weeks you're eligible for. 6. If all else fails, consider filing an appeal. Sometimes this can jumpstart the process. Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up!

I heard they're super backed up because of all the fraud cases they're dealing with. Might just need to wait it out 😕

This happened to me last year. Turns out they had my SSN wrong by one digit. Double-check all your info is correct!
