Has anyone heard about the new policy changes? I heard they're supposed to speed up processing times, but idk if it's actually helping.
Here's what worked for me after months of waiting: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your calls, emails, and online account updates. 2. Be persistent. Call every week if you have to. 3. Use the magic words "financial hardship" when you talk to them. It can sometimes get your claim flagged for expedited processing. 4. If all else fails, contact your state representative or senator. They often have staff dedicated to helping with these issues. 5. Consider filing a formal complaint with the department if it's been an unreasonable amount of time. Hang in there, OP. The system sucks, but don't give up!

PRO TIP: When you finally get through to someone, ask them for a direct extension or callback number. Some reps will give you one, and it can save you hours of hold time for future calls.

•This!!! 💯 I got a direct number once and it was a game changer. Just be super nice to the rep and they might hook you up.
