Ugh, good luck with that. EDD's phone lines are a nightmare. I've spent hours trying to get through. Your best bet is to call right when they open, but even then it's a crapshoot.

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. I've had success calling around 10:30 AM. Seems like theres a sweet spot between the morning rush and lunch break. But its still hit or miss tbh

PSA: There's a new bill being proposed to overhaul the EDD system. Call your reps and tell them to support it! We need change ASAP.
