Stuck on hold for hours with EDD claim - paying for callback service. Any tips?

I've been waiting for over an hour to get through to someone about my claim. This is ridiculous! They say it could take a few hours, but that's what it takes when I call on my own. And I'm paying $30 for this service? What a joke. Anyone else dealing with these insane wait times?

Welcome to the club, buddy. I've been trying to get through for WEEKS. It's like they don't want us to actually file our claims šŸ™„

Weeks? Amateur hour over here. I've been calling for MONTHS. Pretty sure I could recite their hold music in my sleep by now šŸ˜“

Ugh, don't even get me started on the menu options. It's like navigating a maze blindfolded

Hey guys, I actually found a way to get through! There's this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, and then connects you when a live agent picks up. It costs $20, but it worked for me. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. How does it actually work?

Idk man, seems kinda sketchy. You sure it's legit?

I get the skepticism, but it's totally legit. They basically have a system that calls and navigates the menu for you. When an agent picks up, it forwards the call to your phone. Saved me hours of frustration

The whole system is broken. We shouldn't have to jump through hoops just to get our claims processed. It's OUR money, for crying out loud!

Has anyone tried calling at different times of day? I've heard early morning or late evening might have shorter wait times.

I tried calling at 7:59 AM once, right when they opened. Still took forever šŸ˜©

Late evening worked for me once, but it's hit or miss. Plus, who wants to spend their entire evening on hold? šŸ™„

Here's what I've learned after dealing with this for months: ā€¢ Be persistent. Keep calling, even if it feels hopeless. ā€¢ Have all your documents ready before you call. They might ask for obscure info. ā€¢ Take notes during your call, including the name of the rep you speak to. ā€¢ If you get disconnected, ask for a direct callback number (some reps will give you one). ā€¢ Consider using a auto-dialer app to save your fingers from constantly redialing. ā€¢ Stay calm and be polite to the reps. They're dealing with a broken system too. Hope this helps someone. We're all in this together!

Great advice. I'd add: if you get a helpful rep, ask if there's a way to contact them directly in the future. Sometimes they can give you their extension.

Anyone else feel like they're trapped in a Kafka novel trying to deal with this system? šŸ›

LOL accurate. Or maybe it's more like Waiting for Godot, but Godot is a claims representative šŸŽ

Careful, they might make you file a camping permit claim first šŸ˜‚
