TWC Unemployment: Endless Wait Times, Callback Services Failing - Any Way to Actually Get Help?

Has anyone else been waiting forever to get through to unemployment? I've been trying for hours and still can't talk to a real person. It's so frustrating! I paid for a callback service but even that's taking forever. Is there any way to actually get help with my claim? This is ridiculous.

I found a way to solve unemployment claim callback delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-Cc2hlIX7Q

I'm in the same boat. Been trying to reach them for 3 weeks now. Starting to feel like I'm gonna lose my apartment before I ever get my benefits 😞

That sucks, I'm sorry. Have you looked into rental assistance programs?

Not yet, but I guess I should. This whole situation is so stressful.

Definitely look into local aid programs. Many communities have resources to help people facing eviction.

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

$20??? That's crazy, we shouldn't have to pay to get our benefits!

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

How long did it take to get a call back?

The service seems to aim at reducing the waiting time stress, but it is indeed unfortunate that we have to resort to paid services to navigate such essential services.

Pro tip: if you get through to ANYONE, even if its the wrong department, beg them to transfer you. Sometimes they take pity on you and actually do it!

I tried this once, and it actually worked! Worth a shot.

Have you tried calling right when they open? I heard that's the best time to get through.

0 coins

-

Yuki Yamamoto

Yeah, I've tried that. No luck. It's always busy or I get disconnected.

Same here. I set my alarm for 7:55 am and still couldnt get thru. This system is broken af

I think they have everyone trying this method which overloads the system right when they open.

Has anyone tried going to the unemployment office in person? I'm thinking of camping out overnight if I have to.

0 coins

-

Emma Davis

I tried that last week. They're not even letting people in without an appointment, and guess how you make an appointment? By phone 🤡

Are you kidding me? That's insane. This system is so broken.

I heard some offices have limited in-person services now. It's worth checking if any changes have been made.

Upgrades are necessary, but unfortunately, they often get delayed due to budget constraints.

Have you tried the online portal? Sometimes you can resolve issues there without calling.

0 coins

-

Yuki Yamamoto

Yeah, I've tried but my issue requires talking to a real person unfortunately

The online portal is a joke. Half the time it doesnt even load for me

I managed to sort out a minor issue through the portal. It's buggy, but sometimes it works.

Welcome to the club, buddy. I've been trying for weeks to get someone on the phone. It's like they don't want us to get our benefits 🙄

yall ever think about how much money they save by making it impossible to claim benefits? 🤔 feels like its on purpose sometimes

Nah, never attribute to malice what can be explained by incompetence. They're just understaffed and overwhelmed.

It really does feel that way sometimes, but I think it's more about poor resource management.

Guys, I've been dealing with this for MONTHS. Here's what I've learned: 1. Persistence is key. Keep calling, even if it feels hopeless. 2. Use multiple methods - phone, email, social media. Sometimes Twitter works! 3. Contact your local representative. They can sometimes expedite claims. 4. Document EVERYTHING. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact them. 5. Join Facebook groups for unemployment support. Lots of good info there. Don't give up! The system is overwhelmed but you'll get through eventually.

Also, maybe reaching out to local news outlets could bring more attention to the issue.

To answer your question, you might want to consider using Claimyr or similar services if direct attempts aren't successful. Claimyr can indeed help bridge the communication gap by managing hold times for you, and many users have reported success with it despite the $20 fee. However, it's crucial to weigh this cost against continuously spending time on the phone. Remember that these tools are designed to alleviate the burden of navigating complicated systems, but they don't replace the need for systemic improvements in public service accessibility. Additionally, keep trying all available channels including local representatives or reaching out via multiple platforms (phone, email, social media). Persistence and creative approaches will be key in managing through these difficult times.

Unpopular opinion: maybe we should all just get jobs instead of relying on the government 🤷‍♂️
