EDD: Can't get through for claim update. Any tips?

Hey everyone, I'm trying to get an update on my claim but I can't seem to get through to anyone. I've been calling for days and keep getting dropped calls or endless hold times. Anyone else dealing with this? Any tips on how to actually speak to a human being?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been trying to get an update on my claim for weeks now. It's like they're purposely making it impossible to reach anyone. Have you tried calling right when they open? I've heard that can sometimes work.

I tried that and still no luck. It's like playing the lottery at this point 🤡

Same here. I even set an alarm for 5 minutes before they open and still couldn't get through. This system is so broken.

Yeah, I've tried early mornings, late afternoons, nothing seems to work. It's so frustrating!

I actually found a method that works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

I get the skepticism, but it seriously worked for me. After weeks of trying, I was desperate enough to give it a shot. Totally worth it imo.

How long did you have to wait after using the service?

It took about 2 hours, but I didn't have to actively wait on hold. They called me when an agent was on the line.

Here's what I've learned after months of dealing with this mess: • Call exactly at 8:01 AM when they open • Use the comma trick to skip the automated menu (Google it) • If you get put on hold, stay on as long as you can • Try different numbers - sometimes the UI number is less busy • Be persistent and call multiple days in a row It's a pain, but eventually you'll get through. Good luck!

Whats the comma trick? Can you explain more?

Sure! When you dial the number, add commas between digits to create pauses. Then add the menu options you want after. Like 18001234567,,,1,,,2,,,3. It'll auto-navigate the menu for you.

This is ridiculous. We pay taxes for this service and can't even use it when we need it. Someone needs to fix this broken system. 🤬

Has anyone tried reaching out to their local representative? I've heard some people have had success getting help that way.

I did this! It took a couple weeks, but my rep's office was able to escalate my case and get it resolved. Def worth a try.
