EDD: Constantly disconnected when calling for claim update. Any tips to actually reach a human?

Hey everyone, I'm trying to get an update on my claim but I keep getting disconnected when I call. It's so frustrating! Has anyone else had this problem? Any tips on how to actually get through to a real person?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been trying to get through for weeks now. It's like they don't want us to actually talk to anyone. 🙄

Same here! I've tried calling at different times of the day, but no luck. It's like playing the lottery.

Have you tried calling right when they open? I heard that's the best time to get through.

Yeah, I've tried that too. Still no luck. It's so frustrating!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Wow, that sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

Idk man, paying to talk to someone about your claim seems sketchy. Are you sure it's legit?

I get the skepticism, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

Can you give more details about how it works? Like, do you have to give them your personal info?

Nah, you just give them the number you want them to call and your phone number. They do all the waiting and menu navigation, then connect you when a real person picks up. It's pretty simple.

Have you tried emailing them? I know it's not as fast, but I've had some luck getting responses that way.

Okay, here's what I've learned after dealing with this for months: 1. Call early in the morning, like right when they open. 2. If you get disconnected, keep calling back. Sometimes it takes 20+ attempts. 3. Try different numbers if they have multiple lines. 4. Be super nice to the person when you finally get through. They deal with angry people all day. 5. Have all your info ready so you can get through the call quickly. 6. If all else fails, contact your local representative. They can sometimes help push things through. Hope this helps! Good luck!

Contacting your rep is a great tip. They helped me resolve an issue that had been dragging on for months.

Has anyone tried using their online portal? I know it's not great, but I've had some success updating my info there.

The online portal is a joke. Half the time it's down for maintenance when I try to use it.

I've had mixed results. Sometimes it works, sometimes it just gives me error messages. 🤷‍♂️

Honestly, the whole system is broken. We need to start contacting our representatives and demanding change. This is ridiculous.

Preach! 🙌 But good luck getting them to care about us little people.
