Stuck in EDD limbo: Can't reach anyone to check claim status. Help!

Hey everyone, I'm trying to find out the status of my claim but I'm having trouble getting through to anyone. I've been calling for hours and still can't reach an agent. Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips on how to get an update on my claim status?

I found a way to solve long claim status wait times, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=veizuTHEKt4

Ugh, welcome to the club 🙄 I've been trying to get through for weeks now. It's like they don't want us to actually talk to anyone!

Seriously! It's like they're playing hide and seek with our claims. 🤦‍♂️

I know right? I feel like I'm in a never-ending game of phone tag with these people.

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

I get the skepticism, but it really did work for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

$20 seems steep just to talk to someone... but I guess if it works, it might be worth it. How long did you wait?

It took about an hour, but I didn't have to sit there listening to hold music. They called me when an agent was on the line.

Have you tried checking your claim status online? Sometimes its faster than calling.

Yeah, I tried that first but it just says 'pending' and hasn't been updated in weeks. That's why I'm trying to talk to someone directly.

Pro tip: call right when they open. I managed to get through after only a 30 minute wait by calling at 8:01 AM sharp.

I feel your pain, OP. The whole system is a mess rn. I've been waiting on my claim for 3 months now. It's ridiculous how understaffed and overwhelmed they are. 😤

3 months?! That's insane. Have you tried contacting your local representative? I've heard that can sometimes help speed things up.

No, I haven't thought of that. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll give it a shot!

Here's what I've learned from my experience dealing with claims: 1. Persistence is key. Keep calling, even if it feels hopeless. 2. Use the online portal to submit any documents they might need. This can prevent delays. 3. Be prepared when you do get through. Have all your info ready. 4. If possible, try to speak to a tier 2 representative. They often have more authority to resolve issues. 5. Document everything. Write down who you spoke to, when, and what they said. 6. Check your spam folder regularly. Sometimes important emails end up there. 7. Consider using a paid service like the one mentioned earlier if you're really stuck. Hope this helps! Hang in there, OP. 💪

Have you tried reaching out on Twitter? Sometimes they respond faster there.
