SDI system not showing new claim info - How long does it take?
Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with the SDI system. I filed a new claim recently, but the information isn't showing up in the system. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm worried because I got a confirmation, but when I log in, there's nothing there. How long does it usually take for new claims to appear? Any advice would be appreciated!

Ugh, I've been there. The SDI system can be so frustrating sometimes. When did you file your claim? It usually takes a few days for it to show up in the system, but I've seen it take up to a week before.

ā¢I filed it just yesterday. I guess I'm being impatient š I'll give it a few more days. Thanks for the info!

ā¢A week?! That's ridiculous. The system should be instant in this day and age. š

Have you tried calling them? Sometimes talking to a rep can help speed things up or at least give you peace of mind.

ā¢I haven't tried calling yet. I've heard horror stories about being on hold forever. š©

ā¢I found a way to get someone on the phone without waiting forever. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

ā¢Wait, what? Is that even legal? Sounds too good to be true.

ā¢Yep, it's legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

Here's what you need to know about SDI claim processing: ⢠It typically takes 5-7 business days for a new claim to appear in the system ⢠Weekends and holidays don't count as business days ⢠If you filed online, you should have received a confirmation number - keep this handy! ⢠Check your spam folder for any emails from SDI ⢠If it's been more than 10 business days, definitely give them a call Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

ā¢This is great advice. Wish I had known this when I filed my claim last month. Spent days panicking for no reason š

Pro tip: Take screenshots of everything when you file. I learned this the hard way when my claim "disappeared" and I had no proof. Better safe than sorry!

Have you checked if there's any system maintenance going on? Sometimes they do updates and it can cause delays in processing.

ā¢I didn't even think of that. I'll check their website for any announcements. Thanks!

I went through the same thing a few months ago! Filed my claim on a Tuesday and it didn't show up until the following Monday. What helped me was logging out completely and clearing my browser cache, then logging back in. Sometimes it's just a display issue on their end. Also, make sure you're checking the right section - I was looking under "Claims" when I should have been checking "Disability Benefits" (they're in different tabs). Don't stress too much, the confirmation number means they have your claim!
