SDI payments missing for 7 weeks - last payment mid-July, no updates. What to do?
I haven't received my SDI payments for the past 7 weeks. The last payment I got was in mid-July. I've been checking my account but there's no update or message about why the payments stopped. Has anyone else experienced this? What should I do next?

I found a way to solve SDI payments stopped without explanation, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GBEnh8fe8uQ

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. My payments stopped in August and I've been trying to get through to someone for weeks. It's so frustrating!

•Have you tried calling first thing in the morning? I heard that's the best time to get through.

•Yeah, I've tried that. No luck. It's like they don't want us to reach them 🙄

•Same here! It's like they ghosted us all at once. Anyone know if there's been a system glitch or something?

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•20 bucks? That's steep. But I guess if it works... 🤔

•I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

•How long did you have to wait after using the service?

•It took about an hour and a half, but I didn't have to sit there listening to hold music. They called me when an agent was on the line.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Check your EDD online account for any notices or messages. Sometimes they require additional info and payments stop if you don't respond. 2. Make sure all your certifications are up to date. Missing even one can pause payments. 3. If everything looks good on your end, you NEED to speak with a rep. Keep calling, use the online contact form, or try that calling service someone mentioned. 4. Document everything. Write down who you talked to, when, and what they said. 5. If you can't get through, consider reaching out to your local assembly member's office. They can sometimes help push things through. 6. Check if there have been any policy changes. Sometimes they affect payments and aren't well communicated. Don't give up! The system is frustrating but persistence usually pays off. Good luck!

•The assembly member tip is underrated. They helped me resolve my issue in like 2 weeks when I'd been stuck for months.

have you tried faxing them? I know it sounds old school but I've heard it can work

This happened to me last year. Turns out they flagged my account for "potential fraud" for no reason. Took forever to sort out. Check if that might be your issue.

•Oh no, I hope that's not it. How did you find out it was flagged?

•I finally got through to a rep after weeks of trying. They told me then. It was a nightmare to fix, had to send in all sorts of documentation.

Anyone else notice that this seems to happen a lot in July/August? Wonder if it's related to the fiscal year or something 🤔
