SDI claims vanished from account - pending processing and missing forms. Help!

Hey everyone, I'm having some serious issues with my SDI claims. All my previous claims have disappeared from my account, and I'm not sure what to do. I've got claims from January and November that are still pending, and others from December and September that are missing medical provider forms. Has anyone else experienced this? Should I just resubmit everything? I'm so confused and frustrated right now.

Ugh, I feel your pain. The SDI system is such a mess rn. I had a similar issue last year. Here's what I did: 1. Call them ASAP. Like, yesterday. 2. Ask about each claim individually. Sometimes they have different statuses. 3. Don't resubmit unless they tell you to. It might mess things up more. 4. Get everything in writing if you can. Good luck, OP. You're gonna need it. 🍀

Thanks for the advice! I've been trying to call them for days but can't get through. It's so frustrating. 😫

Pro tip: call right when they open. I mean like, set an alarm and everything. Sometimes you can get through faster.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds sketchy. Is this legit?

Totally get the skepticism, but yeah, it's legit. I was desperate and tried it. Saved me hours of hold time.

20 bucks tho? That's steep for a phone call.

True, but consider how much time you waste on hold. For me, it was worth it to actually talk to someone.

Have you checked if there were any system updates or maintenance recently? Sometimes that can cause weird glitches. might be worth asking about when you finally get through.

I hadn't thought of that. Good idea, I'll definitely ask!

This is why I always keep paper copies of EVERYTHING. The EDD's online system is about as reliable as a chocolate teapot. 🍫☕

Okay, let's break this down: 1. Missing claims: This could be a system glitch or an account issue. Don't panic yet. 2. Pending claims: Unfortunately, this is common. The backlog is real. 3. Missing medical provider forms: This is crucial. You need to get these sorted ASAP. 4. Next steps: - Document everything - Call EDD (use the tips others have shared to get through) - Ask about each claim individually - Get clear instructions on what you need to do - Follow up with your medical provider about the missing forms - Consider reaching out to your local assembly member for help 5. Don't resubmit claims unless explicitly told to do so by an EDD rep. Remember, persistence is key. Keep at it, and don't let the system wear you down. You've got this! 💪

Wow, thank you so much for this detailed breakdown! It really helps to see it all laid out like this. I'll definitely follow these steps.

I swear, dealing with SDI is like trying to nail jello to a tree. Impossible and messy.
