Filed EDD claim weeks ago, no response & wrong return-to-work date. When will I get paid?

I filed my claim weeks ago and still haven't heard anything back. The system shows my expected return to work as 2025, but I'm still going to doctor's appointments. I'm really worried about when I'll get paid. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on what to do or say when I finally get through to someone?

I found a way to solve unemployment claim payment delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=buHColRxvOc

Ugh, I feel ya. The system is so messed up rn. I waited like 2 months before I heard anything back. Have you tried calling them? It's a pain, but sometimes that's the only way to get answers.

I've been trying to call but can never get through. It's so frustrating! How many times did you have to call before you got someone?

Honestly, I lost count 😅 I think I tried like 50 times over a couple days. It's ridiculous how hard it is to reach a human being!

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through on my third try doing that. Good luck! 🍀

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

I get the skepticism, but it seriously saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo. The time I saved was worth way more than $20 to me.

I used it too! Worked like a charm. Felt weird paying but man, the relief of finally talking to someone was 💯

Here's what you need to do: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your calls, appointments, and claim updates. 2. When you get through, explain calmly that your return-to-work date is incorrect and you need it updated. 3. Ask about the status of your claim and when you can expect payment. 4. Request a direct number or extension for follow-up. 5. If they can't help, ask to speak with a supervisor. 6. Follow up with an email summarizing your call. Stay persistent and don't give up. The squeaky wheel gets the grease!

I'm in the same boat, filed in June and crickets since then. This whole system is a joke. We need to start calling our representatives and demanding change!

Preach! 🙌 I've been saying this for months. Anyone know how to organize a protest or something? This is getting ridiculous.

Careful with protests tho, don't wanna mess up your claim. But yeah, calling reps is a good idea. Strength in numbers!

Quick question - did you upload all your medical docs? I forgot one and it delayed my claim for weeks. Double check that everything's there!
