EDD claim status - no response after 3 weeks. What to do?

I sent in my physician paperwork for my claim over 3 weeks ago and still haven't heard anything back. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm getting worried about the status of my claim. Any advice on what to do next or how long I should expect to wait?

I found a way to solve long claim paperwork processing delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dP5sJ0YMrA

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. Sent my paperwork in like a month ago and crickets. The waiting game is killing me 😫

A month?! That's ridiculous. Have you tried calling them?

Yeah, but good luck getting through. I've been on hold for hours and still nothing 🙄

Pro tip: call right when they open. Sometimes you can get through faster that way.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

I was skeptical too, but I tried it and it actually worked. Saved me hours of frustration.

20 bucks tho? Thats kinda steep just to talk to someone...

I get it, but for me, it was worth not wasting an entire day on hold. Time is money, ya know?

Can you give more details about how it works? I'm desperate at this point.

Sure! You just go to the website, choose the department you need to call, pay, and then they start calling for you. When they get a real person, your phone rings and you're connected. It's pretty simple.

Here's what I've learned from dealing with EDD for way too long: 1. Document EVERYTHING. Keep copies of all paperwork you send in. 2. Follow up regularly. Don't just wait for them to contact you. 3. If you can't get through on the phone, try reaching out via their online portal or even snail mail. 4. Be persistent but polite. The people on the other end are probably overwhelmed too. 5. If all else fails, contact your local state representative. They can sometimes help push things along. Hang in there, OP. The system is a mess, but don't give up!

Here's what I've learned from dealing with claims for years: 1. Document everything. Keep copies of all paperwork you send in. 2. Follow up regularly. Don't just wait for them to contact you. 3. If possible, fax your documents. It's often faster than mail. 4. Be persistent but polite when you do get through to someone. 5. Check your online account regularly for updates. 6. Consider contacting your local representative if it's been an excessive wait. Hope this helps! Hang in there, the system can be frustrating but eventually it works out.

I heard they're super backlogged because of all the fraud cases they're dealing with. Might be why it's taking so long.

Yeah, I read about that too. Apparently, they're being extra cautious now, which is slowing everything down.

Anyone know if theres like a fax number or email we can use instead of snail mail? Feels like were living in the stone age with this system 🦕
