EDD: No update 3 weeks after submitting new medical info for claim. What to do?

I submitted new medical info for my claim 3 weeks ago and still haven't heard anything back. Has anyone else experienced long delays after sending in additional documents? I'm getting worried and not sure what to do next. Any advice on how to follow up or get an update would be really appreciated!

I found a way to solve long claim processing delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZujaN7-OF_M

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been waiting for over a month after sending in new docs. The system is so slow 🐌 Have you tried calling them? That's what I'm planning to do next week if I don't hear anything.

I haven't called yet, but that's a good idea. I'm just dreading the long hold times. Let me know how it goes if you end up calling!

Pro tip: call first thing in the morning when they open. You might have better luck getting through.

Here's what I would say when you call: "Hello, I submitted new medical information for my claim 21 days ago and haven't received an update. Can you confirm if it's been received and let me know if any additional documents are needed?" Be polite but firm. Sometimes you gotta be persistent to get answers. Good luck!

This is super helpful, thank you! I'll definitely use this script when I call.

Great advice! I'd also recommend taking notes during the call - names, dates, what was said. It can be helpful if you need to follow up later.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone without waiting forever. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

20 bucks? Idk man, seems kinda steep just to make a phone call 🤔

I get the skepticism, but it honestly saved me hours of frustration. Worth it IMO if you're desperate to talk to someone.

I've used it twice now. It's legit. Expensive yeah, but beats sitting on hold all day.

21 days? That's nothing lol. I've been waiting for 3 months. The whole system is a joke. 🤡

3 months?! That's insane. Have you tried contacting your local representative? Sometimes they can help speed things up.

Nah, didn't even think of that. Might give it a shot tho. Thx for the idea!

I work in healthcare (not for the claims dept tho). From what I've seen, 3-4 weeks is pretty standard for processing new medical info. If you don't hear anything by the end of this week, definitely give them a call. But try not to stress too much - delays are unfortunately normal.

Thanks for the insider perspective! That makes me feel a bit better. I'll give it till Friday and then follow up if I haven't heard anything.

PSA: Always keep copies of EVERYTHING you send them. I learned this the hard way when they "lost" my documents and I had to resubmit. 😤
