EDD still asking for ID verification after sending everything. No pay for 2 months. Help!
I sent EDD my ID, W2 forms, and June paystubs to verify my identity, but they're still asking for ID verification. It's been two months without pay. What else could they possibly need? I'm so frustrated!

Ugh, classic EDD bureaucracy 🙄 Have you tried calling them? Sometimes talking to a real person can clear things up faster than just sending docs.

•I've been trying to call for weeks! Always get the 'too many callers' message. It's like trying to win the lottery just to talk to someone 😫

•Pro tip: call right when they open. Set an alarm and start dialing at 7:59 AM. Worked for me after days of trying!

I had the same issue! Turns out they needed a clearer copy of my ID. Try resending everything, but make sure the scans are super clear and all info is readable.

Have you checked your UI Online account? Sometimes they post specific requests there that don't come through on other notifications.

•Yeah, I check it obsessively. Nothing new there 😕

This happened to me too! It's so frustrating. I finally got through to someone and they said my documents were 'pending review'. Apparently theres a huge backlog. Keep certifying and hopefully it'll get sorted soon!

•Yep, welcome to EDD hell. I've been waiting 3 months now. It's a complete disaster.

Hey, I found a method to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds sketchy. Is this legit? Anyone else tried it?

•Yeah, it's totally legit. I was skeptical too but I was desperate. It worked for me and I finally got my issue resolved.

•20 bucks to maybe talk to someone? EDD should be ashamed this even exists 😤

•I get it, but for me it was worth it. Beats losing weeks of benefits trying to call myself 🤷♂️

Here's what I've learned from my EDD nightmare: 1. Double-check all your docs. Make sure nothing's expired and all info matches exactly across all forms. 2. If you sent physical copies, try uploading digital versions to your UI Online account too. 3. Check your spam folder religiously. Sometimes important EDD emails end up there. 4. Keep certifying every two weeks, even if you're not getting paid. 5. If possible, reach out to your local assembly member's office. They can sometimes expedite EDD issues. 6. Document everything. Every call, every letter, every email. You might need it later. 7. Don't give up! It's frustrating as hell, but persistence usually pays off eventually. Hang in there, OP. We're all in this sinking boat together 💪

•Thank you so much for this detailed response! I'll definitely try reaching out to my assembly member, hadn't thought of that.
