EDD queue always full, getting kicked out. No payments for a month. Help!
I've been trying to get through to unemployment for weeks now. Their queue is always full and kicks me out every time I call. I've tried everything I can think of but nothing seems to work. It's so frustrating! Has anyone else dealt with this and found a solution? I'm at my wits end here and really need to speak to someone about not receiving any payments for the past month.

I found a way to solve unemployment payment delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DbFmy1G_7oY

Ugh, I feel your pain! I was in the same boat for like 2 months. It's ridiculous how hard they make it to actually talk to a human being. Have you tried calling right when they open? That sometimes worked for me, but it's still hit or miss.

•Yeah, I've tried that too. No luck so far. It's like they're purposely making it impossible to get help 😡

•Pro tip: call at 7:59am and keep hitting redial until you get through. It's annoying af but it worked for me eventually.

•I heard they added more staff recently. Maybe try again now? Things might have improved 🤞

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•20 bucks? That's highway robbery! The government should make this easier for free 😤

•I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. After weeks of trying, I was desperate enough to try anything. It's legit.

•Can you give more details about how it works? Is it safe to use?

•Sure! You just enter your phone number on their website, pay the fee, and they start calling for you. When they get a real person, they connect you. It's pretty simple and secure from what I could tell.

Have you tried reaching out to your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things through faster. Worth a shot if you're really stuck!

This whole system is broken af. We shouldn't have to jump through hoops just to get what we're entitled to. It's time for a complete overhaul of the unemployment system! 🤬

•Preach! 🙌 The fact that we're all struggling like this is a joke. Something needs to change ASAP.

•Idk man, have you seen how backed up they are? It's not like they're doing this on purpose. Cut them some slack.

•No excuses. Other countries manage just fine. We deserve better!

Here's what worked for me after weeks of trying: 1. Call exactly at 8:01 AM 2. If you get the 'too busy' message, hang up and immediately redial 3. Keep doing this until you get into the queue 4. Once in queue, DO NOT HANG UP no matter how long it takes 5. Have all your info ready when you finally get through It took me about 30 tries one morning, but I finally got through and sorted everything out. Stay persistent! Also, make sure you're calling the right number for your specific issue. Sometimes there are different departments for different problems. Good luck!

•This is solid advice. I'd add: use a phone with a good battery or keep it plugged in. My call lasted 3 hours once I got through!

Anyone else thinking about making an API for this? Could be a cool project to automate the whole process 🤔

•Bruh, if you figure that out, you'd be a hero to this entire sub 😂

•Pretty sure that would be illegal... but I'm listening 👀

I'm in the same boat, haven't been paid in over a month. This is seriously affecting my ability to pay rent and buy food. Does anyone know if there are any emergency assistance programs available while we wait for unemployment to get their act together?

•Check with your local food banks and churches. Many have programs to help people in situations like this. Hang in there! ❤️

•211 is a good resource for finding local assistance programs. Give them a call, they might be able to help!
