EDD benefits delayed 30+ days after submitting return-to-work date change. Help!
Has anyone else had issues with benefits not being paid after submitting documentation for a change in return-to-work date? It's been over a month since I updated my info, and I still haven't received anything. Starting to get worried about bills piling up. Any advice on how to speed up the process or who to contact?

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. Updated my info 6 weeks ago and crickets since then. The system is so broken, it's ridiculous. Have you tried calling? I've been trying for days but can't get through.

•Calling is useless. I spent 3 hours on hold last week only to get disconnected. 🤬 This whole thing is a joke.

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 mins of hold time that way.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Anyone else tried it?

•Idk man, paying to get through seems sketchy. Shouldn't we be able to reach them for free?

•I get the skepticism, but it's legit. Saved me hours of frustration. Sometimes you gotta spend money to make money, ya know? 💁♂️

Here's what worked for me: 1. Double-check all your documentation is correct and complete 2. Send a follow-up email through your online account 3. Contact your local representative's office - they can sometimes expedite things 4. If all else fails, file an appeal It took about 2 months total, but I finally got my benefits. Don't give up!

•Thank you so much for the detailed advice! I'll definitely try contacting my rep's office. Didn't even think of that.

The whole system needs an overhaul. It's not equipped to handle the volume of claims, especially with all the changes due to COVID. We need to pressure our representatives to modernize the unemployment system!

•Preach! 🙌 But good luck getting politicians to care about us little guys.

•Maybe we should start a petition? If enough people sign, they might actually do something.

Quick question - did you receive any kind of confirmation when you submitted the updated documentation? I'm about to do the same and want to make sure I don't miss anything important.

•Yeah, I got an email confirmation right after submitting. Make sure to save that for your records!
