EDD Payment Delay After Certifying Today - Normal Wait Time?
I just submitted my continued claim certification for unemployment benefits today, but I haven't received my payment yet. Is this normal? How long does it usually take for the payment to come through after certifying? I'm getting a bit worried since I really need the money. Anyone else experiencing delays or have any advice on what to do?

Chill out, it's only been a day! 😂 EDD usually takes a few days to process claims. Give it til at least the end of the week before you start panicking.

In my experience, it typically takes 2-3 business days for the payment to hit your account after certifying. But keep in mind that weekends and holidays can slow things down. If you don't see anything by Friday, then you might wanna start making some calls.

•Have you tried calling them? Sometimes there's a hold on your account and they don't even notify you 🙄

Hey guys, I found a way to actually get someone on the phone at EDD! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video for more info: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•I get it, but for me it was worth it to finally get my issue resolved. Beats calling 100 times a day for weeks 🤷♂️

Here's what you need to know about EDD payments after certification: • Processing usually takes 2-3 business days • Weekends and holidays can cause delays • Make sure your claim is still active and not expired • Check for any pending eligibility interviews • Verify your payment method (EDD debit card or direct deposit) is correct • Look for any notifications in your EDD online account If it's been more than 5 business days, there might be an issue with your claim. In that case, try to contact EDD directly. Be persistent, as their phone lines are often overwhelmed. Pro tip: Certify as early as possible on your certification day (usually Sunday) to get in the queue faster.

Hey OP, have you checked your spam folder? Sometimes EDD emails end up there. Also, make sure your contact info is up to date in your account. I missed a payment once cuz they had my old address 🤦♂️
