EDD: Got 'Next in Line' Text Hours Ago, Still No Funds. What to Do?

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my unemployment funds. I got a text saying I was next in line for processing at 12:55, but it's been hours and I still haven't received anything. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm starting to get worried because I really need this money. Any advice on what I should do next?

I found a way to solve unemployment payment delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrE9aI7t8N0

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. It's so frustrating! I've been waiting for days and still nothing. The system is totally broken 😡

Days? Try weeks! I've been waiting for almost a month now. This is ridiculous!

Have you guys tried calling? Sometimes that helps speed things up.

Calling is impossible. I've tried like 50 times and can never get through 🤦‍♂️

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

Can you give more details about how it works? Is it legit?

Sure! You just go to the website, choose the department you need to call, pay, and they start calling for you. When they get a real person, your phone rings. Super simple.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Double-check your UI Online account to make sure all your info is up to date 2. If you haven't certified for benefits recently, do that ASAP 3. Try calling the EDD early in the morning, right when they open. That's usually the best time to get through 4. If you can't get through on the phone, try reaching out via social media. Sometimes they respond faster there 5. As a last resort, contact your local state representative. They can sometimes help push things through Hang in there, OP. The system is overwhelmed right now, but keep pushing and you'll get your money eventually.

Great advice! I'd add that keeping a detailed log of all your attempts to contact them can be helpful if you need to escalate the issue.

This is why we need UBI. The current system is a joke 🤡

Preach! 🙌 The whole thing needs to be rebuilt from the ground up.

UBI would just make everyone lazy. We need better jobs, not handouts.

Ok boomer 🙄 UBI isn't about laziness, it's about basic human dignity

Have you tried turning it off and on again? 😂 jk jk... but seriously, sometimes logging out and back into your account can refresh things

idk if this helps but I was in a similar situation last month. Turns out there was a glitch in there system that was causing delays. It eventually sorted itself out after about a week.

A week?! Some of us can't afford to wait that long 😩
