EDD: Agent went silent after hour-long wait to add wages (W2 & paystubs sent). Anyone else?
I've been trying to add wages to my claim. I sent in my W2 and paystubs, but when I finally got through to someone after waiting for an hour, they just went silent after saying they got my info. Has anyone else experienced this? It's so frustrating!

Ugh, that sucks! I had a similar experience last month. Waited forever, then the call dropped. It's like they're playing games with us 🙄

•Same here! I swear they do it on purpose to discourage us from calling. It's ridiculous 😤

•Nah, I don't think its on purpose. They're probably just overwhelmed and understaffed. Still sucks tho

•Maybe, but it doesn't make it any less frustrating. We're all just trying to get our money 💰

Pro tip: I found a way to get someone on the phone without waiting. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. •Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•$20? That's a lot just to make a phone call. Is it really worth it?

•I get the skepticism, but for me it was totally worth it. Saved me hours of frustration and got my issue resolved quickly.

•I tried it last week and it worked like a charm. Definitely beats sitting on hold all day!

Have you tried faxing your documents? Sometimes that works better than calling. Just make sure to keep the confirmation page!

This whole system is broken af. I've been trying to update my claim for WEEKS. Anyone know if there's a way to escalate this to a supervisor or something?

•LOL good luck with that. You'd have better luck winning the lottery 🤣

•I heard you can request a callback from a tier 2 specialist, but idk how reliable that is

Here's what worked for me: 1. Call right when they open (8:00 AM) 2. If you get put on hold, hang up and try again 3. Keep doing this until you get through 4. Be super nice to the rep, even if you're frustrated 5. Ask them to notate your account It took me a few days, but I finally got it sorted. Don't give up!

Anyone else feel like we're all just stuck in some kind of unemployment limbo? It's like a bad dream that never ends 😴💤

Has anyone tried reaching out to their local representative? I've heard some people have had success getting help that way.

•I did! My state senator's office was actually super helpful. Took about 2 weeks, but they got things moving for me.
