I heard they recently updated their phone system. Supposedly it has better language options now. Anyone know if thats true?
Pro tip: If you can't get through on the phone, try reaching out via social media. Sometimes their Twitter or Facebook team can help or at least escalate your issue.
This actually worked for me! Got a response within a day after weeks of phone tag.
Have you tried reaching out to your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things along with government agencies.
anyone else think its ridiculous we gotta jump through all these hoops just to get what we're entitled to? smh
Hey OP, what kind of disability if you don't mind me asking? Some types tend to get processed faster than others.
It's for a back injury from work. Not sure if that makes a difference?
Does anyone know if the payment timeframe is different for partial vs total disability? My doc says I can work part-time but I'm not sure how that affects things.
In my experience, partial disability can be more complicated. The calculations take longer cuz they have to figure out your reduced earning capacity. Might wanna check with a lawyer on this one.
Just a heads up, I heard they changed some policies recently due to COVID. Might wanna check if that affects processing times.
Oh great, another wrinkle 🙄 Any idea where to find info on these changes?
Try checking the official workers comp website for your state. They usually post updates there. Or maybe call and ask about COVID-related changes specifically.
