Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. I've been dealing with this for MONTHS. It's a nightmare. I swear they make it difficult on purpose to discourage people from claiming benefits. Hang in there, OP. 💪

Guys, I just found out that my claim was denied because my former employer contested it. Has anyone dealt with this before? What should I do now?
Oh no, that sucks! You should definitely appeal the decision. Make sure you have all your documentation ready and be prepared to explain your side of the story.
I went through this last year. Definitely appeal, and consider getting a free consultation with an employment lawyer. They can give you advice on how to present your case.

I heard they recently updated their phone system. Supposedly it has better language options now. Anyone know if thats true?

Pro tip: If you can, try faxing your documents instead of mailing them. Sounds old school, but I swear it got my claim moving faster.
