Missed Medi-Cal call - How to get back in touch ASAP?
Hey everyone, I'm having some trouble with my Medi-Cal case. I missed a call from them earlier and I'm not sure what to do now. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to get back in touch with them quickly? I'm worried about my coverage being affected.

Ugh, I feel you. Medi-Cal can be such a pain to deal with. I missed a call from them once and it took me WEEKS to get back in touch. Have you tried calling their main number? Be prepared to wait on hold for hours tho 🙄

•Hours on hold? More like days 😂 I swear, its easier to win the lottery than to get through to a real person at Medi-Cal

•Yikes, that sounds awful. I guess I'll have to set aside a whole day just to make this call 😩

I found a way to get someone on the phone without waiting for hours. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's the link: https://www.claimyr.com

•Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work? How long did you have to wait?

•It actually does! I was skeptical at first too, but I got a call back in about 2 hours. Saved me a whole day of being glued to my phone.

•I get that, but for me it was worth it. Time is money, and I couldn't afford to spend all day on hold. Plus, the peace of mind was priceless.

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes they leave messages there about missed calls or next steps. Might save you some time before you start the calling nightmare.

Pro tip: if you can't get through on the phone, try emailing them. It's slower, but at least you have a paper trail. And sometimes they actually respond! 🤯

•This! 👆 Email saved my butt when I was dealing with a similar issue. Just make sure to follow up if you don't hear back within a week.

Okay, let me break this down for you: 1. Don't panic. Missing one call usually won't affect your coverage immediately. 2. Try calling them back ASAP. Use their main customer service line. 3. If you can't get through, leave a voicemail explaining you missed their call and provide a good time for them to reach you. 4. Check your online account for any messages or updates. 5. If all else fails, consider visiting a local Medi-Cal office in person. Sometimes face-to-face is the best way to resolve issues. 6. Document everything. Write down who you talk to, when, and what was said. 7. Be persistent but polite. The system is frustrating, but the people on the other end are just doing their jobs. Hope this helps! Let us know how it goes.

•This is solid advice. I'd add: if you go in person, bring ALL your paperwork. Better to have too much than not enough!
