When will CalFresh EBT benefits deposit in March 2025?

Does anyone know what day this month our ebt cards will refill? I usually get my CalFresh benefits on the 11th, but my neighbor said something about the schedule changing this month because of some system update. I really need to plan my grocery shopping and I'm down to basically nothing in my fridge. Called the county office but got stuck in that automated system for 30 minutes before giving up. Anyone know the actual deposit date for March?

CalFresh benefits are distributed over the first 10 days of each month based on the last digit of your case number. If your benefits normally arrive on the 11th, that's unusual as the schedule typically only goes from the 1st to the 10th. Your neighbor might be confusing CalFresh with another benefit type. The distribution schedule hasn't changed for March 2025. You can check your exact date by looking at the last digit of your case number: 1=1st, 2=2nd, etc. through 0=10th.

Thanks for clarifying! I just double-checked my case number and you're right - the last digit is 1, so I should get it on the 1st. I must have been confused with my disability payment that comes on the 11th. No wonder I've been having budget issues! So I should have already gotten it...now I'm worried something's wrong with my case.

The CalFresh issuance schedule hasn't changed for March 2025 - it still follows the standard distribution pattern based on the last digit of your case number (1st through 10th of the month). However, there was a system maintenance update on February 28th that might have caused some delays for people with March 1st issuance dates. If you haven't received your benefits yet, I'd recommend checking your BenefitsCal account for any notices about verification requirements or semi-annual reporting (SAR7) that might be due. Sometimes benefits get held if the county needs additional information.

I just logged into my BenefitsCal account and you're right! There's a notice saying my SAR7 was due last month and I totally missed it. Do you know if I can still submit it late or am I going to lose my benefits completely?

I had same issue!!! They NEVER sent me the SAR7 form and then suddenly no benefits!! So frustrating when they expect us to report but don't send the forms. Try submitting it ASAP through BenefitsCal - sometimes they'll process it retroactively if you do it within 30 days of when it was due. Good luck!!!

you can definitely submit a late SAR7! my worker told me they give you a month grace period. just make sure you fill in all the income info correctly or theyll reject it again

If you're having trouble getting through to the county office about your CalFresh benefits, I recently used a service called Claimyr that got me through to a real person in about 5 minutes instead of waiting on hold for hours. You can see how it works at https://youtu.be/eZ19FHRETv8?si=_CXnXqNXbLl26WB8 - their website is claimyr.com. I was in the same situation with a late SAR7 and needed to talk to someone ASAP. They had me upload my completed form while on the call and reinstated my benefits within 3 days.

Thank you! I'll check this out if I can't get through tomorrow. I'm going to try calling right when they open at 8am, but if that doesn't work I'll definitely need something like this. I really can't go another week without groceries.

btw your neighbor was probably talking about the CalWORKs payment schedule, not CalFresh. those payments did get moved around this month because of the system update. easy to confuse all these different benefit types lol

That makes sense! She does get CalWORKs too. I get so confused with all these different benefits and their schedules.

Since your issue is a late SAR7 form, here's what you need to do immediately: 1) Complete and submit your SAR7 through BenefitsCal today 2) Call the county office to notify them you've submitted it late 3) Request 'restoration of lost benefits' since you weren't properly notified about the form being due. When you submit the SAR7, make sure to include all household income for the report month, any changes in household composition, and all required verification documents. The county has to process an SAR7 received within 30 days of the due date, even if it's late.

Thank you so much for the detailed steps! I just submitted my SAR7 online and uploaded my pay stubs. I'll call first thing tomorrow morning to follow up. Really appreciate everyone's help - this community is amazing!
