When do October 2025 CalFresh benefits get deposited on EBT cards?

Does anyone know when we're supposed to get our October CalFresh benefits on our EBT cards? My family is running really low on food and I can't remember if deposits are on the 1st or if they're staggered based on case numbers. My last 4 digits are 7382 if that matters. Also, did they announce any benefit amount increases for October? I heard something about a cost of living adjustment but couldn't find any official info.

CalFresh benefits are loaded onto EBT cards over the first 10 days of each month based on the last digit of your case number. If your case number ends in 2, you'll get your benefits on the 2nd day of the month, if it ends in 3, then the 3rd day, and so on. Case numbers ending in 0 get benefits on the 10th. Since your last 4 digits are 7382, you should get your October benefits on the 2nd of the month (if that's the last digit of your case number).\n\nAnd yes, there is a small cost of living adjustment starting in October 2025. Most households will see about a 3.4% increase. You should have received a Notice of Action in September explaining your new benefit amount.

Thank you! I just checked my case number again and you're right, mine ends in 2, so I should get it on October 2nd. I guess I was confusing it with my husband's General Assistance which comes on the 1st. And I'll look for that Notice of Action - I've been throwing out a lot of mail without reading it carefully 😬

The 1st-10th deposit schedule is TRUE unless your RECERTIFICATION is due that month!!! If your annual recert is in OCT your benefits can be delayed for WEEKS until they process your paperwork - even if u turn it in early!!!! Learned this the hard way last year when they made us wait 23 days into the month!

OMG this happened to me too - my recert was in August and they didn't deposit until like the 25th even though I submitted everything on time. My worker said something about \

The deposit schedule is based on the last digit of your case number (not your EBT card number), so you'll get benefits on the 2nd of October. For anyone else reading this:\n\nCase # ending in 1: 1st day of month\nCase # ending in 2: 2nd day of month\nCase # ending in 3: 3rd day of month\nAnd so on until...\nCase # ending in 0: 10th day of month\n\nRegarding the COLA (Cost of Living Adjustment), yes, there's a 3.4% increase starting with October benefits. The maximum monthly allotment for a household of 4 will be $1,035 (up from $999). Your specific amount depends on your household income and deductions.

hey i just want to share my experience. i couldnt figure out when my benefits were coming either and i kept trying to call the ebt customer service line and county office but kept getting disconnected or put on hold forever. i found this service called claimyr.com that got me through to a real person at the county in like 10 minutes. they have a video showing how it works here: https://youtu.be/eZ19FHRETv8?si=_CXnXqNXbLl26WB8. the worker told me exactly when my benefits would be deposited and also explained the new COLA increase. just wanted to share since it saved me literally hours of waiting on hold.

Is that service legit? I'm always nervous about giving out my information to third-party services, especially with something as important as my benefits.

yeah its totally legit! they dont access your case or anything - they just connect your call to the county and then you talk directly to a worker. saved me so much frustration

In response to the question about single person households - with the new COLA adjustment for October 2025, the maximum monthly allotment for a household of 1 is $302. But remember that's the maximum - your actual benefit amount will depend on your income and deductions.

Does anyone else notice that their benefits sometimes come SUPER EARLY in the morning like 4am?? I swear sometimes I check at midnight and nothing's there but then my kid wakes me up at 5am and I check again and boom the money's there!! 😂 Not complaining AT ALL just wondering if anyone else notices this? I'm day 8 btw

YES! This is exactly what happens to me too! I'm day 5 and it's always loaded super early in the morning. I think they must run some overnight batch process to load all the benefits.

Thanks everyone for the info! I just wanted to update that my benefits did indeed hit my card this morning (Oct 2nd) with the new increased amount. You were all right about the schedule. I appreciate all the helpful responses - this community is amazing!
