CalFresh benefits not loading on EBT - anyone else's deposit late this month?

mine 2!! normaly gets there on 11th but still nothin. called the number on back of card but says balance is $0

At least I'm not alone! Did you try calling the actual CalFresh office? I tried but kept getting disconnected after waiting 45 minutes.

There's actually a known system delay happening this month. The county worker told me they're updating the EBT deposit system and some benefits are delayed by 3-7 days. They should have sent notices, but apparently those got delayed too. Your benefits should still come through - they're just running behind schedule. Try checking again tomorrow morning.

This happens almost every year when they do system updates. My caseworker told me it's because they process benefits in batches based on case numbers, and some batches get delayed during updates. Not much help when you need groceries today though!

Honestly never! Takes me days to get through. Last time I used this service called Claimyr that got me through to a real person in about 10 minutes when I'd been trying for days. Just to clarify some misinformation here: CalFresh benefits are issued over the first 10 days of each month based on the last digit of your case number. If you normally receive benefits on the 10th, your case number likely ends in 9. The system update this month is affecting cases that normally receive benefits on the 8th, 9th, and 10th of the month. Benefits should be fully restored by the 17th according to the official notification. If you don't receive your benefits by the 18th, you should contact your county office immediately as it may indicate a different issue with your case.

I had this happen before and it turned out they needed a verification document I never got the notice for! You should double check your account on BenefitsCal to make sure there's no pending tasks or missing verifications!

Just checked BenefitsCal and everything looks normal - no tasks or verifications pending. Status still shows as 'active' so I guess it really is just the system delay others mentioned.
