What time does Washington ESD unemployment deposit hit your account?
I'm trying to figure out what time Washington ESD actually deposits unemployment benefits. I filed my weekly claim on Sunday and it's been showing 'paid' status since yesterday but still nothing in my bank account. I have bills due today and really need to know when I can expect the money to hit. Does anyone know the exact timing for Washington ESD deposits? I'm with Chase bank if that matters.

Washington ESD typically processes deposits overnight on Tuesdays after you file your weekly claim. Most banks receive the funds between 2-6 AM on Tuesday, but some banks hold them until their normal business hours. Since you're with Chase, you'll probably see it by 6 AM Tuesday morning.

•Thank you! That's really helpful. I was worried something went wrong with my claim.

•I'm also with Chase and mine usually shows up around 3 AM on Tuesdays. Sometimes it takes until Wednesday if there's a holiday though.

I've been dealing with Washington ESD deposit timing issues for months. The deposits are supposed to come Tuesday but I've had them delayed until Wednesday or even Thursday. If your claim shows 'paid' status but no deposit after 48 hours, you might need to call Washington ESD to check for issues.

•How do you even get through to them on the phone? I've tried calling but always get busy signals.

•It's nearly impossible to get through the regular way. I actually found this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that helps you get connected to Washington ESD agents. They have a video demo at https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ showing how it works. Saved me hours of calling.

•Never heard of that but might be worth trying. I spent 4 hours yesterday trying to get through to Washington ESD about a deposit issue.

depends on your bank really. Washington ESD sends the money out Monday night/Tuesday morning but banks process at different times. I have BECU and get mine around 4 AM Tuesday. My friend with Wells Fargo doesn't see hers until 9 AM.

•This is correct. The actual ACH transfer from Washington ESD happens Monday night, but individual banks have different posting schedules. Credit unions tend to post earlier than big banks.

•That makes sense. I'll check again early Tuesday morning then.

I'm still waiting for my deposit from last week! Filed Sunday, shows paid on Monday, but still nothing. This is so frustrating - I have rent due tomorrow.

•If it's been more than 48 hours since it showed 'paid' status, you should definitely contact Washington ESD. There might be an issue with your banking information or the deposit got returned.

•How am I supposed to contact them? I've been trying to call for days but can't get through.

•Like I mentioned earlier, try Claimyr. It's specifically designed to help people get through to Washington ESD phone lines when you can't get connected the normal way.

Sometimes the deposit timing changes if there's a holiday or if Washington ESD is doing system maintenance. I've had deposits delayed by a full day before during holiday weeks.

•Good point about holidays. I don't think there were any this week though.

•Washington ESD does system maintenance on some Sunday nights which can delay the Monday night processing. Check their website for scheduled maintenance announcements.

I've noticed my Washington ESD deposits come earlier if I file my weekly claim early on Sunday. When I file later in the day Sunday, sometimes the deposit is delayed until Wednesday. Not sure if that's coincidence or if filing time actually matters.

•Filing time shouldn't matter as long as you file before the Sunday deadline. Washington ESD processes all weekly claims from Sunday night regardless of when during the day they were submitted.

•Maybe it's just my bank then. I've definitely noticed a pattern though.

•Could be that your bank processes weekend deposits differently. Some banks have different ACH schedules for transactions received on weekends.

WASHINGTON ESD DEPOSITS ARE ALWAYS LATE!!! I'm so sick of this system. Every week it's the same stress wondering when the money will actually show up. They need to fix their timing.

•I feel you. The uncertainty is the worst part. At least when you know the timing you can plan around it.

•The timing is actually pretty consistent once you know your bank's schedule. Washington ESD processes payments the same way every week - it's really the banks that cause the variation.

Pro tip: if you need to know exactly when your deposit will hit, call your bank and ask about their ACH deposit schedule. Most banks can tell you exactly what time they process overnight deposits.

Andre Rousseau
•That's actually really smart. I never thought to ask my bank directly about their processing times.

•Yep, this works. I called BECU and they told me their ACH deposits post at 4 AM every Tuesday. Been accurate ever since.

Mine usually comes Tuesday morning but last week it was delayed until Thursday because of some verification issue. Had to call Washington ESD to get it sorted out.

•I used that Claimyr service someone mentioned. Worked great - got connected to an agent in about 10 minutes instead of hours of busy signals.

•I'm going to try that too. This calling situation is ridiculous.

Check your Washington ESD account online to make sure the deposit status actually says 'paid' and not 'pending' or 'processing'. Sometimes what looks like it should be paid isn't actually processed yet.

Andre Rousseau
•Good advice. I double-checked and it definitely says 'paid' with yesterday's date.

Zoe Papadakis
•If it shows 'paid' status, the money has been sent to your bank. Any delay after that point is on the banking side, not Washington ESD.

I switched from Bank of America to a local credit union and my deposits went from coming Wednesday afternoon to Tuesday at 2 AM. Big difference in timing between banks.

Andre Rousseau
•Wow, that's a huge difference. Maybe I should consider switching banks.

•Credit unions often have faster ACH processing than big banks. Might be worth looking into if deposit timing is important to you.

Make sure you didn't have any issues with your weekly claim certification. If you answered any questions differently than usual, Washington ESD might hold the payment for review even if it shows as processed.

Andre Rousseau
•I don't think I changed anything but I'll double check my certification responses.

Zoe Papadakis
•This is a good point. Even small changes in your weekly claim answers can trigger a review that delays payment.

Been getting Washington ESD deposits for 6 months now. Tuesday 3-5 AM is the most common time. If it doesn't come by Wednesday morning, something's probably wrong and you should contact them.

•That's really helpful to know the typical timeframe. I'll wait until Wednesday morning before worrying.

•Mine still hasn't come and it's been since Sunday. Definitely going to try that Claimyr thing to get through to Washington ESD.

Sometimes if you recently changed your bank account information with Washington ESD, there can be delays while they verify the new account. This happened to me and took an extra 2 days.
0 coins
Andre Rousseau
•I haven't changed anything recently so that shouldn't be the issue.

Zoe Papadakis
•Banking information changes definitely cause delays. Washington ESD has to verify new accounts before processing deposits.

Tuesday morning between 2-6 AM is the standard for Washington ESD deposits. Your bank might show it as pending first before making it available. Check both your pending and available balances.
0 coins
Andre Rousseau
•I'll make sure to check both. Thanks for the tip!

Jamal Carter
•Yeah, some banks show ACH deposits as pending for a few hours before making them available. Chase usually does this.
