Should I file for Washington ESD unemployment if I was fired - worried about eligibility

I got fired from my job last week and I'm not sure if I should even bother filing for unemployment benefits. My supervisor said it was due to performance issues but I feel like they were just looking for reasons to get rid of me. I've been working in retail for 3 years and this is my first time being terminated. Does being fired automatically disqualify you from getting Washington ESD benefits? I'm scared to file and then get denied or have to pay something back later. Has anyone been in this situation before?
