How to reach ESD supervisors when regular channels fail - tried governor's office

I've been trying to get my unemployment claim resolved for over 6 weeks. It's stuck in adjudication limbo with no updates and I'm at my wits end. I've called ESD 30+ times, left countless messages in my eServices account, and even emailed my state representative. Someone suggested contacting the governor's office as a last resort. Has anyone actually gotten results this way? What process did you follow? I'm getting desperate as my savings are nearly gone and need to know if this is worth trying or just another dead end.

i tried contacing the govs office last year. They just sent me back to esd customer service. Total waste of time imo.

Seriously?? That's so frustrating. Did they at least give you a direct contact or just told you to call the regular number again?

The governor's office isn't the best route for unemployment issues. What worked for me was filing a formal complaint through the ESD website under \

Thank you! I didn't know about the formal complaint option. I'll try that right away. I did email my representative last week but haven't heard back. I'll try my senator too.

NONE OF THESE METHODS WORK!!! I've been fighting with ESD for 3 MONTHS trying to get my adjudication resolved!!! Filed complaints, contacted my rep, even tried the ombudsman's office. They all just pass you around in circles while you go broke. The system is DESIGNED to make you give up!!!

I understand your frustration, but these methods do work for many people. The key is persistence and documentation. Keep a log of every contact, including dates, times, and names of representatives. This creates a paper trail that becomes harder for them to ignore.

Have you tried Claimyr? I was in the same boat - couldn't get through to ESD for almost 2 months with an adjudication issue. A friend recommended Claimyr (claimyr.com) and it actually worked. They got me connected to a real ESD agent within about 30 minutes. The agent was able to look at my file and push it through to the next stage. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ?si=26TzE_zGms-DODN3\n\nNot saying it will solve everything instantly, but at least you'll get to talk to someone who can see your claim details rather than sitting in limbo.

I've never heard of this service before. I'm desperate enough to try anything at this point. Did they actually help resolve your issue or just connect you?

They just help you get through to ESD - basically solve the phone connection problem. Once I got through to an actual ESD agent, I was able to explain my situation and they could see what was holding up my claim. In my case, there was missing employment verification they needed that I didn't know about. Got it resolved pretty quickly after that.

I work for a nonprofit that helps people with UI issues and here's what actually works:\n\n1. First, make sure you've responded to ALL items in your eServices account. Sometimes there are hidden questionnaires or information requests that don't generate notifications.\n\n2. The WorkSource offices can sometimes help escalate claims - visit in person if possible.\n\n3. If your state rep doesn't respond in 5-7 days, follow up. They get hundreds of emails.\n\n4. The governor's office CAN help in extreme cases (like if you're facing eviction or utilities shut-off), but you need to specify the emergency nature of your situation.\n\n5. Document EVERYTHING - dates of calls, letters, emails, what was discussed.\n\nKeep in mind that ESD is currently experiencing higher than normal adjudication backlogs due to a system upgrade they did in March 2025.

THIS IS GOOD ADVICE!! The WorkSource office actually helped me when nothing else worked. The person there made a call to someone at ESD and got my claim moving again after it was stuck for weeks!!

my cousin had the same prob last month and she got it fixed by going to her local state reps office in person. they have constituent services people who can help. she said dont just email, you gotta go in person and tell them your about to be evicted even if your not lol. worked for her after like 2 months of getting nowhere with esd.

That's good to know. There's a district office about 20 minutes from me. I might try going in person tomorrow. At this point I'll try anything.

Has anyone here gotten through to a supervisor? I'm in adjudication too (9 weeks now!) and when I finally got through to someone yesterday after a 3 hour wait, they said they

This is partially true. ESD doesn't typically allow direct transfers to supervisors. However, you can request a supervisor callback. The key phrase to use is: \

Update: I tried several of the suggestions here. The formal complaint through the ESD website got me an automated response saying they'd review within 7 days. I also visited my state rep's office in person yesterday and spoke with a staff member who took down all my information and said they'd send an inquiry to their ESD liaison. They seemed much more helpful than when I just emailed!\n\nI'm also going to try Claimyr tomorrow if I don't hear anything back. Thank you all for the suggestions. Will update if anything works!

Great approach! You're doing everything right by pursuing multiple avenues simultaneously. The in-person visit to your representative's office is often the most effective method. Keep us posted on your progress.
