ESD Approval Changed to Paid But Weekly Claim Option Missing - What Now?
So FINALLY after waiting for what felt like forever, my status changed from pending to paid yesterday! Such a relief to see that money should be on its way. But now I'm confused about something... Usually I can log in on the weekend (Saturday/Sunday) and submit my weekly claim where I also enter all my job search activities. I've been doing this religiously every week while waiting for approval. But I just checked my eServices account and there's no option to file a weekly claim anywhere? The little section where I normally click to file is just... gone? Do I not have to submit weekly claims anymore now that I'm approved? Or is this a glitch in the system? Has this happened to anyone else? I don't want to miss filing and lose benefits when I just got approved!

•Wait really? Where do I find my claim start day? I've been filing on Sundays for weeks and never thought it might change!

The weekly claim filing option should still be available. There are a few possibilities here: 1. You might be looking in the wrong section. After recent ESD system updates, the weekly claim link moved to "Unemployment Claims" then "Weekly Claims" in the left navigation menu. 2. If you just got approved and paid, the system might need 24-48 hours to reset and show your weekly claim option. 3. Sometimes there's a temporary system glitch where the option disappears briefly. I recommend waiting until tomorrow and checking again. If you still don't see it, you should definitely contact ESD directly since you must continue filing weekly claims to receive benefits, even after initial approval.

•Thank you! I'll check those other sections and wait until tomorrow. I've been looking in the same place I always do so maybe it did move after their update.

I had this exact problem last month! The weekly claim button completely disappeared after my pending payments switched to paid. I freaked out and spent 2 days trying to figure it out. Turns out it was just a timing issue - the system was processing my payments and temporarily removed the option. It came back exactly 48 hours later. Just wait a bit and keep checking!

•yeah the ESD site does weird stuff all the time. sometimes logging out and back in fixes things too

•That's a relief to hear! I'll give it 48 hours and see if it comes back. Did you end up missing a weekly filing because of this?

The ESD website is SUCH garbage!!! I swear they deliberately make it confusing so people miss filing and then they don't have to pay benefits. I've had buttons disappear, errors when submitting, and one time they completely lost my claim information. You absolutely STILL need to file weekly claims even after getting approved. Don't miss your filing window or you'll regret it.

•While I understand your frustration, the site issues are usually due to system maintenance or high traffic rather than intentional design. That said, you're absolutely right that weekly claims must continue regardless of approval status. Missing a weekly claim can result in benefits being denied for that week.

Have you tried logging in using a different browser? Sometimes the ESD website has compatibility issues with certain browsers or devices. I had a similar problem where the weekly claim option disappeared when using Chrome, but it showed up fine in Firefox. Also, clearing your cache and cookies might help refresh the page properly.

•I didn't think of trying a different browser. I've been using Chrome but I'll try Firefox or Edge and see if that makes a difference. Thanks for the suggestion!

•I filed last Sunday, which was my normal day. It's possible the approval changed something in the system.

I had the EXACT same issue when my claim switched from pending to paid! Try calling ESD before you miss your filing window. I wasted almost a week waiting for the button to come back and then had to request a backdate for my missed week which was a whole other headache. If you can't get through to them on the regular line, I finally got help using Claimyr (claimyr.com). They got me connected to an ESD agent in about 20 minutes when I'd been trying for days on my own. They have a video demo showing how it works: https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ?si=26TzE_zGms-DODN3. The agent fixed my account right away and explained it was a system flag that needed to be manually removed.

•Thanks for the suggestion. I'm going to try waiting 48 hours like others suggested, but if the option doesn't come back, I'll definitely check out Claimyr. I really don't want to miss filing and lose a week of benefits after waiting so long for approval!

This is a common transitional issue in the ESD system. When your claim status changes from pending to paid, there's often a brief processing period where certain features temporarily disappear. Your weekly claim filing requirement absolutely continues - this never changes as long as you're receiving benefits. Here's what you should do: 1. Wait 24-48 hours for the system to complete processing 2. Try accessing eServices at different times of day (the system undergoes maintenance at night) 3. Make sure you're looking under UI Online Services → Weekly Claim 4. If the option doesn't return within 48 hours, contact ESD immediately To prevent any issues, document your job search activities separately so you have them ready when the filing option returns.

•This is really helpful information! I'll follow your steps and continue tracking my job search activities separately. It's a relief to know this is a common issue and not something specific to my claim.

•Haha I wish that was it! But I definitely haven't filed for this week yet. I'm pretty careful about tracking when I file.

Just to confirm - you should be able to see your previous weekly claims in the system. Look for "Weekly Claims" or "Weekly Claim History" in the menu. You should see all previous claims with their status. This can help you verify your normal filing pattern and confirm which weeks you've already claimed. Your filing day is determined by ESD and generally doesn't change, but the approval process can sometimes cause temporary system adjustments.

•I just checked my claim history and all my previous weekly claims are showing correctly up through last week. So it definitely seems like this week's claim option is what's missing. I'll keep checking as others have suggested.

Hey, just checking back - did your weekly claim option ever reappear? Mine came back after about 40 hours, right before I was about to call ESD in a panic!

•Yes! You were right! The option showed up again this morning. Looks like it was just a temporary glitch while the system processed my approval. Thanks everyone for the help and preventing me from panicking too much!
