One last thing - make sure you keep filing your weekly claims every Sunday even while you're waiting for your first payment. Don't let any weeks lapse or you'll have to start the process over.
You're going to do fine. Having all your documentation organized and arriving prepared puts you ahead of most people. The Washington ESD representatives deal with unprepared people all day so they'll appreciate that you came ready.
The whole approval process is way more confusing than it needs to be. You'd think they'd just send a clear 'APPROVED' or 'DENIED' message but instead you have to piece it together from different parts of your account.
I tried calling Washington ESD so many times when I got fired but could never get through. Finally used that Claimyr service someone mentioned and got connected to an agent who explained exactly what I needed to do. Made the whole process way less stressful.
Update us when you file! I'm rooting for you. Sounds like you have a strong case for getting approved.

If you need to talk to Washington ESD about any of this stuff, I'd recommend trying that Claimyr service people mentioned. Made a huge difference when I needed to get clarification on my claim status.

•I'm definitely keeping that option in mind if I need to contact them. Thanks for the recommendation!

•Same here - bookmarked their site for future reference. Washington ESD's phone system is just impossible otherwise.

Great question and great responses! Shows how helpful this community can be for navigating Washington ESD issues. Frictional unemployment is definitely the term you were looking for.
