If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

To address a couple of the comments in this thread about speeding up adjudication: 1. You absolutely CAN request escalation after 5-6 weeks, but you need to talk to a Tier 2 specialist (not the first person who answers) 2. For those facing financial hardship (like potential eviction), there's a hardship escalation process. When you call, specifically mention "financial hardship escalation" and be ready to explain your situation 3. Written documentation is extremely helpful in these cases - ESD adjudicators are overwhelmed and clear evidence can speed up decisions 4. If you've been waiting 6+ weeks with no movement, contacting your state representative's office can sometimes help The system is frustrating but there are pathways to speed things up in legitimate cases.

THANK YOU!!! I'm going to try calling again tomorrow and ask for a Tier 2 specialist and mention the hardship thing. Do I need to provide proof of the eviction notice?

did u get paid for the waiting week too?? i heard thats not a thing anymore but someone else said u still dont get paid for 1st week??

The waiting week is definitely still a thing in Washington in 2025. The first eligible week of your claim serves as your waiting week, and you won't receive benefits for that week. It was temporarily waived during COVID, but that waiver ended years ago. You still need to file a claim for that week though, as it counts toward your eligibility.

Just to follow up on your holiday question - yes, if Monday is a bank holiday (like Memorial Day, Labor Day, etc.), then deposits won't process until Tuesday at the earliest. For future reference, once your claim is established, payments typically process much faster. Your weekly claims filed on Sunday through Wednesday are usually processed within 48 hours, while claims filed Thursday through Saturday might not process until the following Monday or Tuesday. Have you been making sure to complete your three job search activities each week?

Thanks for the info! And yes, I've been doing all my job search activities and documenting everything carefully. I've actually got a promising interview on Wednesday so hopefully I won't need to rely on unemployment much longer. Just need to get through this month with rent and bills.

Just wanted to check back - did your payment ever come through? I'm in a similar position now and wondering if I should expect it before or after the holiday.

IT FINALLY CAME THROUGH THIS MORNING! All 9 weeks at once! I literally cried when I saw the notification. Now I can pay my rent and utilities without having to borrow more money. Such a relief.

That's awesome! So happy for you. Gives me hope mine will come through soon too.

my cousin had the EXACT same situation last year!!! he was late because of car problems and his boss fired him for it. at his hearing he showed the judge his mechanic bills and texts to his boss and won his case. the judge said being late because of car problems that you told your boss about is NOT misconduct!!!!!

0 coins

That's really encouraging to hear! I have all my mechanic receipts ready to go. Fingers crossed my judge sees it the same way.

Make sure you call in EARLY for your hearing!!!! I was literally 2 minutes late calling in and the judge marked me as a no-show. Had to appeal AGAIN and wait another month. The system is totally against us.

this happened to my roommate too! he dialed in at exactly the hearing time but there was a queue or something and he was considered late. definitely call in at least 10 min early to be safe

Quick update to my earlier comment - I just remembered the timeline more clearly. After contacting the governor's office, I got an email response in 2 days saying they'd forwarded my case to their ESD liaison. Then I got a call from an ESD specialist 4 days after that, who told me they were expediting my review. My adjudication was completed and benefits paid 3 days after that call. So about 9 days total from governor contact to resolution.

Thank you for the clarification! That timeline still sounds incredible compared to the silence I've been getting directly from ESD. I'll update here once I hear something - hopefully with good news.

UPDATE: Just got a call this morning from someone at ESD! They said they received my case from the governor's office yesterday and were putting it on priority review. The agent couldn't give me an exact timeline but said they're working to resolve it this week. So it took 6 business days from my governor's office contact to get actual movement. Will post again when I get the final decision!

nice! hope they actually fix it instead of just saying they will

That's great news! Those priority reviews typically move much faster than regular adjudication. Keep us posted on the outcome!

Here's what most people miss when appealing overpayments: You need to be VERY specific about which weeks you're disputing. Don't just say "I think the whole thing is wrong." Go through week by week, showing exactly what you reported vs what ESD claims. Also, be super clear about whether you're disputing the fact that there was an overpayment at all, or if you're requesting a waiver based on financial hardship. Those are two totally different processes! If you truly can't afford to pay it back, you can request a waiver even if the overpayment itself was valid.

This is so helpful, thank you! I hadn't even considered the waiver option. I think I need to fight that there was no overpayment first, but good to know about the waiver as a backup.

Whatever u do, FILE THE APPEAL ASAP!!!! The deadline is super important. You can always withdraw it later if u figure something else out, but u cant file after the deadline!!
