Just wanted to add that if you have any issues reaching Washington ESD after filing, that Claimyr service someone mentioned earlier really does work. Used it last month when my claim got stuck in adjudication.
Perfect timing on this thread - I just got laid off yesterday and was wondering the same thing. Filing my claim now too!
The whole thing seems designed to be confusing on purpose. Like they dont want people to know theyre eligible so they can save money.
Bottom line: if you've been working and paying into the system, you're probably eligible if you lose your job through no fault of your own. The specific requirements are on the Washington ESD website but talking to an agent is the best way to get a definitive answer for your situation.
I just want to say that this whole process is so stressful. Having to prove you deserve benefits that you paid into for years is ridiculous.
For the original poster - since you have the layoff notice, your case sounds pretty straightforward. Just clearly explain that you were laid off due to company downsizing, not a voluntary quit, and include the documentation. You should be fine.
Just want to add that if you ever need to change your direct deposit info, do it right after you file your weekly claim so you have a full week for it to process before the next payment.
Congrats on getting through the adjudication process! That's the hardest part. Once you're approved and have direct deposit set up, it's pretty smooth sailing as long as you keep filing your weekly claims and meeting the job search requirements.

•Yeah that's the same service someone mentioned earlier. Seems legit if multiple people are using it.

•Good to hear confirmation from another source. Might be worth trying if I run into issues.

Bottom line: 2-3 business days after certification is normal for Washington ESD. Anything longer than that and you should investigate. The exact day can vary but it shouldn't be wildly unpredictable.
