If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

The whole system seems designed to confuse people honestly. Took me forever to understand how they calculate everything.

Right? And then when you need help understanding it you can't get through to anyone at Washington ESD to explain it.

0 coins

That's why services like Claimyr are helpful - sometimes you just need to talk to a real person to make sense of your specific situation.

Thanks everyone for all the info! I feel like I have a much better understanding now. Sounds like I'll be getting the $188 minimum which isn't great but it's something while I look for another job.

Good luck with the job hunt! The retail market is pretty good right now so hopefully you'll find something soon.

0 coins

Thanks! Yeah I'm already applying to other retail positions since I have experience now.

If anyone else is struggling to get through to Washington ESD about work reporting questions, that Claimyr service mentioned earlier is legit. Used it last week when I had questions about reporting irregular hours.

Is it just for Washington or do they work with other states too?

0 coins

I think they work with multiple states but I only used it for Washington ESD specifically.

0 coins

Bottom line - report all work honestly, keep good records, and don't try to game the system. Washington ESD will eventually catch discrepancies and the penalties aren't worth it.

Thanks everyone! This has been really helpful. I feel much more confident about reporting my part-time work correctly now.

Glad this thread helped! Always better to be overcautious with unemployment reporting.

You can also set up direct deposit so you don't have to wait for checks in the mail. Much faster and more convenient.

In your Washington ESD online account there should be a section for payment method where you can add your bank info.

0 coins

Just make sure you use a checking account, not savings. Some banks charge fees for certain types of deposits to savings accounts.

0 coins

Bottom line - you should expect somewhere between $400-500 per week based on what you said about your salary, but wait for the official determination to know for sure. Good luck with your job search!

Thanks everyone for all the helpful info! This thread has been really informative.

No problem! We've all been through this process so happy to help.

Good luck with whatever you decide! The appeal process isn't fun but it's worth it if you believe you were wrongly disqualified. Don't let the bureaucracy discourage you from fighting for benefits you deserve.

0 coins

Thank you! This thread has been really helpful. I think I'm going to file the appeal and gather all my documentation.

0 coins

That sounds like a solid plan. Keep copies of everything you submit and follow up if you don't hear back within the expected timeframes.

One last thing - if you do end up in a hearing, remember that the burden of proof is usually on Washington ESD to show you were disqualified, not on you to prove you qualify. Stay calm and let them make their case first.

0 coins

I didn't know that! I was thinking I had to prove my innocence basically.

0 coins

Nope, they have to justify their decision with evidence. Your job is to challenge their evidence and present your side of the story. Big difference in approach.

One more thing to think about - even if you don't qualify for regular unemployment, there might be state or local programs for people re-entering the workforce after extended absence. Check with your local WorkSource office about reentry programs.

0 coins

That's a great suggestion. I hadn't thought about workforce reentry programs specifically.

0 coins

They sometimes have funding for training, job placement assistance, even temporary financial support while you get back on your feet.

0 coins

Final advice - when you do file the application, be completely honest about your work history and the reasons for your absence. Washington ESD will verify everything anyway, and being upfront from the start will save you headaches later if there's an adjudication process.

0 coins

Absolutely, I plan to be totally transparent. Thanks everyone for all the helpful information!
