If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

honestly the hardest part is the emotional stress of not knowing if you'll have income. the actual filing process isn't that complicated once you get started

yep, the waiting and not knowing is killing me. wish they would just make decisions faster

hang in there, it does get resolved eventually. just try to stay on top of the process and don't let it consume your thoughts

Final advice - document everything from your termination meeting, keep all emails and performance reviews, and file your claim as soon as possible. Washington ESD looks at the totality of circumstances, not just the fact that you were fired. Good luck!

You've got this! The process seems scary at first but it's manageable once you get started.

And remember, if you need to speak with Washington ESD directly about your claim, services like Claimyr can help you get through faster than calling repeatedly.

For OP's original question about whether it's worth filing - at your salary level you're looking at probably $2600-3000 per month in benefits. That's definitely worth the time to file, especially since you can job hunt while collecting.

0 coins

Yeah when you put it that way it's a no-brainer. I'll file this week.

Smart move. And remember to keep track of all your job search activities from day one - you'll need them for WorkSourceWA.

Last thing - if your claim gets approved, you'll get back pay for all the weeks you were eligible, including that first waiting week eventually. So even if there are delays in processing, you won't lose money you're entitled to.

0 coins

That's reassuring. Thanks everyone for all the help - this thread has been super informative!

Good luck with your claim! The process seems scary at first but it's really not that bad once you get started.

0 coins

Bottom line - you earned those benefits through your work and payroll deductions. Your employer's tax situation is not your concern when you're unemployed through no fault of your own. File with confidence!

Thanks! This whole thread has been super helpful and reassuring.

Glad to see another person getting the help they need. These unemployment threads always make me appreciate how complicated the system seems from the outside but how much clearer it gets when people explain it properly.

0 coins

Totally agree. The Washington ESD website has the info but sometimes you need real people to explain it in plain English.

0 coins

Bottom line - just file the claim and see what happens. The worst case scenario is they say no and you're in the same position you're in now. Best case, you get approved and have some income while you look for new work. No reason not to try.

0 coins

You're absolutely right. I'm going to file first thing Monday morning. Thanks everyone for all the helpful advice!

Good luck! Hope it works out for you.

Bottom line - if you've lost income and think you might qualify, just apply. The application is free and Washington ESD will review your entire work history. Don't assume you're disqualified without letting them make that determination.

0 coins

Exactly! I wasted months assuming I couldn't qualify when I actually could have been getting benefits the whole time.

0 coins

You're all right. I'm going to apply today and see what happens. Thanks for all the advice everyone!

The benefit calculation is just one part of the equation. You also need to meet the minimum earnings requirement in your base period to qualify at all. I think it's around $4,000 total for Washington.

0 coins

I thought the minimum was higher than that. Didn't it increase for 2025?

0 coins

You might be right. The minimums do change periodically. Best to check the current requirements on the Washington ESD website or call them directly.

0 coins

Bottom line: if you're confused about how your benefit was calculated, don't guess. Call Washington ESD and ask for an explanation. It's worth the wait time to make sure you're getting the correct amount.

0 coins

That's exactly why I ended up using Claimyr. Sometimes you need help just getting through to the right person at Washington ESD to get your questions answered.

Thanks everyone for all the help explaining this. I think I understand the calculation better now, though I might still try to call Washington ESD to double-check my specific situation.
