Good luck with your claim! This thread convinced me to file too. At our age we need all the help we can get, and it sounds like getting both benefits is completely legal and legitimate.
Final thought - if you run into any roadblocks with Washington ESD, don't give up. Sometimes you need to talk to a real person to sort things out. That's where services like Claimyr really shine - they get you connected to someone who can actually help rather than getting stuck in phone trees.
One last thing I'll add - if you worked for multiple employers during your base period, make sure Washington ESD has wage information from all of them. Sometimes there are delays in reporting that can affect your benefit calculation.
Just wanted to follow up on the Claimyr service I mentioned earlier - definitely recommend it if you need to talk to someone at Washington ESD about your eligibility or any other questions. Way better than trying to get through on your own.
thanks for all this info everyone, sounds like I need to be really careful about documenting everything if I file
One more thing - if you do get disqualified, don't give up. The appeal process exists for a reason and a lot of initial decisions get overturned.
Does anyone know if the partial benefit calculation changes if you have multiple part-time jobs? I'm thinking about picking up a second gig on weekends.
This thread has been super helpful! I was so confused about partial benefits but now I understand how it works. Going to keep filing my weekly claims and see how it goes with my new part-time schedule.

Just want to say hang in there everyone waiting for approval. I know it's stressful but most claims do get approved eventually. The waiting is the worst part but there is light at the end of the tunnel.

•Thanks, I needed to hear that today. This whole process is so nerve-wracking when you're already dealing with job loss.

Final thought for the OP - if you hit the 3 week mark with no updates and no requests for additional information, that's when I'd definitely recommend calling to check on status. Don't just assume no news is good news.

•Good to know! I'm at 10 days now so I'll give it another week before I start panicking.

•Exactly. Two weeks is normal, three weeks warrants a phone call to check what's happening.
