Just to follow up on the Claimyr thing - I ended up using them again when I had questions about my work search requirements. Much easier than trying to decode the website or playing phone tag.
Bottom line: high recruitment areas don't affect your Washington ESD benefits timeline. Keep doing your job search, document everything, and don't let people scare you with made-up rules.
For anyone still having issues getting answers from Washington ESD about payment timing, I used Claimyr last month when my payments suddenly stopped. The service helped me get through to an agent who explained there was a work search requirement I missed. Check out their demo at https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ if you're curious how it works.
Bottom line: expect your payment 2-3 business days after your weekly claim shows 'paid' status. Plan your budget accordingly and don't rely on getting it earlier even if it sometimes happens.
One more thing - if you do get denied initially, you can always appeal. Sometimes the initial determination doesn't capture all the nuances of your situation.
And if you need help reaching Washington ESD during the appeal process, that Claimyr service mentioned earlier might be useful for getting through to an actual person.
Just remember that even if you can't get unemployment during the strike, you should be able to resume benefits once you return to work if you become unemployed for other reasons later.
Quick tip: when you create your eServices account, write down your login info and keep it somewhere safe. Password recovery can be a nightmare if you get locked out of your account.
Welcome to the wonderful world of unemployment bureaucracy! It's not fun but it's there when you need it. The system works, just be patient and follow the rules.

One more thing - the $844 maximum is for regular unemployment insurance. If you end up needing extended benefits during high unemployment periods, those amounts can be different. But hopefully you won't need to worry about that.

•Didn't even know extended benefits were a thing. How does that work?

•It's triggered when state unemployment rates hit certain levels. Gives you additional weeks of benefits beyond the standard 26 weeks.

UPDATE: Finally got my adjudication resolved after 7 weeks! Turns out I needed to provide additional documentation about my job separation. Getting $478 per week which matches what everyone calculated here. Wish I had known about that Claimyr service earlier - would have saved me weeks of stress.

•Glad you got through it! The adjudication process is really stressful when you're waiting for income.

•Yeah definitely using Claimyr next time if I have any issues with Washington ESD. Live and learn I guess.
