TWC showing expired claim from 2021 after ID.me request - suddenly ineligible?
Totally freaking out right now. I've been claiming benefits since January and my benefit year doesn't end until May 2025. But when I logged in today to request payment, the system is showing me as INELIGIBLE and displaying my old expired claim from June 2021!? The only thing different is that I received an ID.me verification request last week, which I completed right away. Has the ID.me verification somehow messed up my current claim? I've got bills due next week and was counting on this payment. Has anyone else had their claim suddenly flip back to an old expired one? How do I get this fixed ASAP?

OMG this EXACT thing happened to me last month!! The ID.me process somehow made TWC's system pull up my old claim instead of my current one. You NEED to call them asap because in my case it took them 2 weeks to fix it and I missed a payment cycle. Keep calling until you get through!

•Thanks for responding! Did you just keep calling the main 800 number? I've been trying all morning and can't get past the busy signal. Did they explain why the ID.me verification would cause this?

This is actually a known glitch in the TWC system that happens to some people after completing ID.me verification. What's happening is that the verification process sometimes triggers a review of your account history, and the system temporarily displays your previous claim while that review is happening. It doesn't necessarily mean you're actually ineligible. You need to: 1. Take screenshots of what you're seeing (for your records) 2. Continue attempting to request payment for the current week even though it shows ineligible 3. Contact TWC to have them manually review and reset your claim status In most cases, they can fix this within 24-48 hours once you actually reach someone.

•Same, mine didn't fix itself either. I had to get through to an actual person at TWC. Took forever but once I talked to someone they fixed it pretty quick. The problem is just getting someone on the phone.

I went through this exact situation in February after completing ID.me verification. There's a technical term for this - it's called an "identity resolution conflict" in their system. Basically, when you verify through ID.me, their system tries to match your verified identity with all claims in their database, and sometimes it incorrectly prioritizes an old claim. The quickest solution is reaching a TWC claim specialist who can manually override this in their system. After struggling with busy signals for days, I used Claimyr (claimyr.com) to get through to a TWC representative. They got me connected within about 30 minutes instead of spending days trying to get through. They have a video that shows how it works: https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U?si=kNxmh025COIlIzKh Once I spoke with TWC, the rep was able to see the issue immediately and fixed it while I was on the phone. My correct claim was restored and I received my payment the next business day.

•Thank you! This "identity resolution conflict" explanation makes sense. I'll check out that service since I NEED to get this fixed before my rent is due. Did they have to transfer you to a special department or was the first person able to help?

My sister had something like this happen but it wasn't from ID.me, it was because she had moved and updated her address. The TWC computer got confused and thought she was a different person with the same name. Took 3 weeks to sort out and she had to provide her social security card and driver's license. So annoying how their system messes up from simple things!

@OP - To answer your follow-up question, when I called TWC, the first representative could see the issue but had to transfer me to a claims specialist. Have your TWC account number, social security number, and a copy of your ID.me confirmation email ready when you call. The specialist will need to verify your identity again over the phone before they can fix it. Also, once fixed, you may need to backdate your payment request for any weeks you missed due to this error. Make sure to ask them about this specifically.

Quick update for anyone finding this thread with a similar issue: TWC has acknowledged this is happening more frequently after their February system update. They're working on a fix, but for now, calling is the only reliable solution. Make sure you specifically mention the "identity resolution conflict" or "claim history conflict error" when you get someone on the phone - this helps them route you to the right department faster.

UPDATE: Finally got through to TWC this morning! Used the Claimyr service that someone recommended here and got connected in about 20 minutes. The rep immediately knew what the problem was when I mentioned "identity resolution conflict." They had to transfer me to a claims specialist who fixed it while I was on the phone. My correct claim is showing now and I was able to request payment for last week! They said the payment should process normally in 2-3 business days. What a relief! Thanks everyone for your help!
